I get to apply to graduate! I’ll graduate next Spring… four years after starting here, which is pretty hard to do. I came here with only 9 credit hours, none of which is going towards core or graduation.

I made a 64 on my law test Friday, which is better than I thought and I talked to my professor (almost my advisor) about it and I feel better now. I was going to go home after getting advised but I need to stay for Biology tonight because we have a test next week.

Why am I telling myself to wake up? Well for several different reasons. The first is that the Cup race today sucked ass. Why? Well I picked Martin Truex, Jr. to win. I had a dream the other night he would win. He qualified good… he was fast in practice and not 20 fucking laps into the race, his car is dead! Capposh.. it’s gone. The boy has no good luck. Hell, he has no luck at all and if he has any, it’s bad. He can’t win for losing and that pisses me off because he and Elliott fluxuate back and forth as my 2nd favorite driver and both have the shittiest luck. (more…)

I love a fresh race season: new commercials, qualifying is exciting, and it even makes you want to watch the truck series (at least for me, since the truck series isn’t my favorite).

Being in Daytona last week, I didn’t get to see many commercials… I saw them, but didn’t really get to hear them. The new Nextel Cup Series commercial with Kasey and Jimmie is funny as hell… and better yet, it has a bunny in it! A bunny! The new Speed commercial with Rutledge and Elliott also has a bunny. Is this a sign from the lords above? Probably not, but it’s funny all the same. The new Gillette Young Guns commercial is funny too, with Kasey ending up like a clown at the very end.  Hell, Kasey’s got good commercials this year… period. I’ve waited until the last minute to study for my media law test again. Of course, I’ve been busy getting back into the swing of things since coming back from Daytona, but here I am at work tonight, looking up information about court cases. I should have done it last night when I got home from class but I was too tired. I seriously went to bed around 10:15. I didn’t have class today so I didn’t leave home until 4:20 to come over here to work.

Then I get a IM from a guy I haven’t really talked to in a month, who I was talking to for a while. He texted me a week ago wanting to know if I wanted to meet up last weekend and I was like “Uh, sorry, I’m busy this week”, and then he IM’s me today.  We had a falling out, or well, he was an asshole to me and said some mean things and now he thinks he can start back talking to me and “sorry” will make it all better. A part of me wants to say “fuck you” and leave it at that, but then there’s a part of me that just doesn’t care anymore and wants to have fun… then there’s the other 33.3 percent of me that wants someone else, the one that’s always been there but I know it won’t ever work out, at least not anytime soon.

So should I continue to be cautious, buried in my work until I actually find someone who can handle a relationship with me and the things I want or should I just say fuck it all and have a little fun?

So we’re home… and I’m home and in my recliner watching American Idol. I can say that I miss Daytona…. I somehow miss the Hilton, but mostly those fluffy ass pillows they had. I miss hearing the engines roar. I miss being able to just sit and watch the beach. I spent like two hours doing that one day, just sitting there, thinking about stuff.

Regardless, I’m home now and I went to class and worked today. That’s all that is exciting that happened to me. Tomorrow I have work, law, channel 11 news, and biology.

So yeah, not very interesting :-p

Today was one of those days that you’ll remember for the rest of your life and will take a week to recover from. It started early for me, at 5:45… we were at the track at 6:45 before most of the Fox crew… There was rehersals and all of that… Larry Mac has a #28 Havoline scooter that he rides to the compound which cracked me up, you have no idea. He’s very nice. Never once saw Hammond or DW come into the compound. Krista Voda is extremely nice and never saw Matt Yocum come into the compound.. never saw him period.

I had to take a lot of readers over to the Hollywood Hotel about an hour before the pre-show started and Chris Meyers is very nice also… I walked in, freezing, and he said hi and offered me a cup of coffee. I went back to the compound and saw him…. my favorite football player before Brett Favre entered my life….. (more…)

Today we went to the track bright and early at 8 a.m. and from there, I was in the production and graphics hauler which is where the director/producer/ and graphics people are. It was… awesome. I heard the director and producers tell the pit commentator what to ask the drivers and all of that stuff and it was just good to see… knowing that’s what I wanted to do. Bascially… that’s where I want to be if I get a job in NASCAR. Saw Hunter, a guy we went to school with who graduated two semesters ago and now has a job with ESPN doing the Busch series stuff… At 12, we were done, so I went to the Busch race and the other two came back to the hotel room……….
