I leave tomorrow around lunch for Daytona and I’m petrified. I don’t know why I’m so scared but I have this sick feeling in my stomach. So I called one of the girls that went down last week to find out what all went on, what to expect, etc… and she tells me “I hope you know you’re not on vacation.” Hm, what the fuck? I know I’m not on vacation… it’s a job, in the area I want to work in, I know what the hell it is. I’m not going as a fan, I’m going as an employee. So anyway, I’ve got to go to class, turn in a test and then I’m going to leave and head home and finish packing.
I’m tired because I didn’t sleep last night thinking about it. I want to go take a nap right now but I know I can’t. I have class in about 40 minutes so I need to leave the office, put my shoes on and head to the Bio/Chem building. I also need to go pee, not that anybody needs to know that.
I was hoping to see Tony’s radio show live tomorrow night but they haven’t posted where it’s going to be yet, so I emailed Matt to see if it’s going to be in public. He’s apparently a computer junkie so he’ll probably reply again. I hope I get to work with him while I’m down there.
I bought my Mom a Valentine’s Day card, telling her that I’m sorry she can’t go to Daytona even though I know it’s killing her b/c she loves racing as much as me and that I love her and I put her $20 in there. I’m going to leave it on her bed when I leave tomorrow so she won’t see it until she goes in there after I leave for Daytona.
 God, this is really happening.
