Then he says he's just joking. Of course everyone laughed at the people in the commercial but when his number is changing for real everyone goes freaking insane, including the media! It was awful that Dale Jr had to firmly tell them to leave Teresa alone about keeping the number 8 because "it's just a number guys." And like he said he doesn't care what's written on the side of his car, a number, his name, or nothing, he just wants to drive it.
