This week is going to be hell I think. I’m sitting here making notes of the upcoming album releases for my article and all I can think about is my math test on Wednesday. There’s still a few things that I don’t really understand. I’m going to have to call the Success Center and find out when the math tutor is there so that they can help me before Wednesday. So I was close… I said Kasey or Kyle would win on Friday… I was feeling the Kness. Kasey won the Busch race and came in 2nd in the cup race… a huge difference and his best finish of the year so far. I was close though… a C won… Carl Edwards. Technically it could still count because Carl could be spelled with a K… I know a guy named Karl with a K. I’m good, dammit. I’m very good.

On the other hand, TGOM is reporting that Junior may have a new girlfriend named Tara… not Tony’s Tara (hopefully). All Tara’s should be banned from Nascar and Karah’s also unless it’s my Tara and Me. Hell, Penni’s also for that matter. There was no sighting of Tony’s Tara from my view or Penni’s last night and when the camera was on Tony for opening ceremonies, he was alone (in a solo shot which typically means he’s alone). To say the least… this week has been on every end of the spectrum for me. It was exhausting, but satisfying…. happy, but sad…. and amazing, but devastating. Thankfully, I’m home, in my pj’s, and ready to go to bed. The sound of the Busch cars going around the track in Bristol for the race is making me sleepy. Who knew?

One thing though that has gotten to me is people disrespecting the things I like while in front of me. Are you really watching NASCAR? Elvis is overrated. Seriously… you don’t tell someone who’s middle name is Presley by CHOICE that Elvis is overrated. It’s not smart and not very gracious.

I believe there isn’t one person who reads this website who has not been directly or indirectly affected by Alzheimer’s. It’s a disease that is plaguing America’s elderly and it’s a disease that needs a lot more recognition than it gets.

For those that don’t know, Alzheimer’s is a common and serious brain disorder that more than five million people suffer from in America alone. Symptoms vary but one of the most common is forgetfulness. It hits home for me because my Mom’s uncle, a former probate judge in my hometown, suffers from dementia, which Alzheimer’s stems from. There is no current cure and from seeing my great-uncle, it’s a terribly alarming disease. He sometimes thinks that my mom is my Grandma, his sister-in-law, and a few minutes later asks who she is, not recognizing her.

There needs to be a cure for this.

This fall, all across America there will be a great charitable cause by the Alzheimer’s Association held and a local one here is held at the technical college on October 13th. If I wasn’t already going to be out of town on that date (Charlotte) I would attend it myself so to all my local people that visit, please go sign up to walk. If you’re not in the area, visit the website and search for walks around your zip code and hometown.

To say the least, Ryan Newman is on my shit list right now. His cell phone, okay well Alltel’s cell phone, which is the “race car phone” as they call it on the phone, is a piece of shit. It’s dead. I can’t call anybody and they can’t call me. Last night during our newspaper meeting, it started freaking out. It would change from 4 to 8 and when it said 8pm, I couldn’t call anybody. It was just my phone doing this. It finally straightened out but… but I can’t call anybody and they can’t call me so Alltel is sending me a replacement which sucks! I will feel nekked! I think when I get my excess check, I’m buying a new one and giving this one to my mom (the replacement I’m getting).  I really want an I phone but I know I can’t afford it and plus Alltel doesn’t have it.  I want a good one, where I can check my email with ease when I’m not online because lately, I haven’t been online a lot and with the paper and other things coming up, I need email access easily.

I think I’m going to this ‘Idol’ thing tonight. The radio station is doing it and I was ‘invited’. Then again, I’m pissed at my phone so I might not go, plus I’m tired as hell. I really just want to go to sleep. I can barely hold my eyes open and that’s no lie. I might stop in for a few mins, take some pics and go. I should go in and start singing “All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You” or “I’m A Slave for you”.

I added new pics to flickr too. I’m so freaking tired. But I fucking LOVE my new Tony t-shirt.

I’m home. God, I’m tired. I’m also annoyed and hurt, but that’s beside the point. Why do I let myself get upset? No idea. Because I’m a loser. Oh well, I’m out of his hell hole in the matter of months and if I don’t leave… I’m dead. At least I had fun with my boys tonight, that’s what matters and we put together a kick ass newspaper.  Now I’m going to bed.
