Poke-A-Nose, or Pocono? | Diary of a Track Bunny

Don’t ask, I remember a line from a movie with the girl telling the guy “poke a nose” really flirty for Pocono. I’ve never been a big fan of Pocono and I knew that nobody really worthy would win this weekend (out of my boys, anyway). But my thoughts include:Robby Gordon: He has stupidity written across his forehead, but hey… at least the heat is off Tony’s back now.

Kurt Busch - *yawns*

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. - Yay, go Junebug for getting his first Pole in five years! If one more thing had happened to Kurt Busch, Junior would have had the win - or Denny Hamlin, he was coming up there.

Yay for Kasey Kahne being on the lead lap all day! I don’t mean that in a sarcastic way either… hopefully with Ray Evernham being more technical, things will get better. I hope so for KKK and Elliott Sadler’s sake.

Apparently Goodyear and Lowe’s Motor Speedway are going to be doing a tire test? About damn time. They need to get this stuff straight because LMS and Goodyear have had problems since the night of my very first Cup race back in October 2005. When I close my eyes I can still see Tony Stewart spinning and backing into the wall between turn 2 and 3. *shudders*

ESPN needs to slow down on the explanations during the race. The fans calling into Sirius don’t like it and well, I don’t like it. It’s fine during a yellow or red flag, but to put a small box in the corner with LIVE green flag coverage to show something about springs….. that’s a little too much. When Rusty commented that only a deer could stop Kurt Busch, I saw images of them explaining how the deer jumped over the wall to get onto the track. Just back off a little… don’t do so much because that’s just overdoing it…. kind of like a boy french kissing for the first time and is overusing his tongue.

And now for the question of the week:

Is that Kurt Busch’s tongue?

I really dislike Kurt, which is kinda funny since I love Kyle, so I was not really happy with the race. Elliott had a crappy car all day, and Kurt won. Not a good day at all. But I think Robby was robbed and then kicked while he was down. I was really upset with the way the race ended yesterday. But the day can be salvaged if Tom Glavine can get his 300th win tonight. I hope you have a great week. I am going to see the school bus race at Lowe’s on Tuesday. I hope Wendy beats the boys.

Yeah, I actually think Robby should have been placed in second, but he should have just done what NASCAR said and then bitched them out later.

My dad looks to be doing all right in the hospital, the Sox had a good game…though I only saw about 5 minutes near the middle of the race if that, the day would have been even nicer if Junior won.

We were thinking about attending the slobberknocker on Tuesday. I have mixed feelings on Robby’s deal. He was wrong to dis-obey the black flag (which he has manned up to) but NASCAR got the call wrong which is where Robby was right. I was at that race in 05 where Tony wrecked and I was listening to his channel, he had a good set of tires on and was running well but NASCAR (again in their infinate wisdom) mandated a tire change which caused TS to wreck. Just because the other teams were running too low of pressures and wrecking they thought that everyone should change tires and mandated that pressures be above a minimum. I won’t repeat what he said that nite but if you are really curious you can search my blog archives for it as I ranted about NASCAR’s dumb ass move and why Tony was right to be extremely pissed.

you know my feelings on the race, and i do not wish to discuss them any further lol

but i am glad to see Kurt win…he is my favorite Busch brother…considering he’s the the one i dislike the least
