It seems like just yesterday that I was reading about Rob Zombie (yes, that Rob Zombie) directing a remake of the cult classic “Halloweenâ€, but the time has now come for it to be released. It will hit theaters on August 31st and everyone will see just what Michael Myers has in store at the hands of rocker Rob Zombie.
While I’ve never been a big Halloween fan, I think Rob will bring something new and fresh to the film. He’s a freaky guy, and freaky to some people is scary (not to me). I don’t think it’s going to be the usual slasher movie. I think it’s going to go the extra mile.
Of course, my favorite scary movie is the Scream Trilogy. I have no idea why… maybe it’s because of David Arquette as Dewey or Courtney Cox because I’m a huge “Friends†fan. I also love the fact that every five minutes, you think someone else is the killer only to have them end up dead themselves – that’s always good fun. I think Halloween the movie is going to take the aspect of suspense from the “Scream Trilogy†and keep people on the edge of their seats.
So go check out Halloween the movie when it hits theaters on October 31st and watch the trailer below!
