So according to a That’s Racin article, Tony Stewart thinks ESPN has it out for him. After the whole beer thing and being a “bad role model”, I wouldn’t doubt it. Of course, Tony is the one that said “bullshit” but… where was the 5 or 10 second delay? Working down in Daytona with Fox for the 500, I know they have people who listen to every single driver, every interview to bleep something out in case someone says a “bad” word. One of my classmates that I went down there to work with was in charge of Jimmie Johnson’s In Direct radio feed. Where were ESPN’s people? What dirt are they digging up on Tony? I think that’s going a little bit far on his part, but still… Tony is NOT one of ESPN’s favorites and their not a favorite of his.
Then again, can Tony EVER do anything right to make people happy? Nope. Because he’s Tony Stewart and whatever he does, he gets criticized for it. TGOM over on AOL FanBlog is taking it a little too far with the 10 minute thing. However… ESPN and Tony are taking it too far too.
Can’t we just discuss why so many NASCAR drivers are throwing the “shocker” instead?

the Iowa high school football players got suspended for gesturing in a team photo, my mind immediately went to all the photos of NASCAR drivers that I have seen displaying “the shocker.” Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Martin Truex Jr. … Brian Vickers ….Denny Hamlin and Reed Sorenson… the list goes on. Boys will be boys? Well, maybe that flies for the high school kiddos, but what’s up with our drivers in this “family” sport? What’s their excuse? Do these guys really hold true the belief that “
