Yes, you read that right. So… it’s a magical evening. The stars are slighting shining in the sky as the sun set in South Georgia where a college senior is driving home listening to her Sirius radio. Okay, I’ll cut the slack. I’m pulling up in my yard and Tony’s show starts coming on. It’s been airing on Monday nights the past few weeks so I grab my phone, expecting to get hung up again. I mean, I’ve talked to the man on television before, made an ass out of my self before on a media outlet such as the one previously mentioned but I haven’t been able to call into his show. Oh I get through, but the cocky little producer hangs up when the question isn’t good enough.

Well I guess he had the night off….

It was the producer from The Driver’s Seat I believe, anyway he answers, puts me on hold, and then comes back and ask my name and where I’m calling from… and I knew I was in. So I tell him… Karah from Georgia (not to be confused with Tara *dry laugh* and he asks my question but before I can even say my question, he asks me what I thought of the Bristol race. So I tell him “It was okay, but I thought the Busch race was a lot better.” He asks me: “Was it boring?” and I answer, “No… it’s just the leaders didn’t switch it up often and considering the television likes to focus on them” and he tells me to hang on.

So I’m like shit, what the hell is my question exactly? Do I ask what I really wanted to ask: “Tony, are you back with Tara” or “Tony, can I have your baby?” (I’m joking, btw) or do I ask something about Bristol. Well during the commercial break… Tony and Matt are talking and they asks about questions… and I think I figured out the trick to that, but that’s my secret *giggles*

So I’m sitting there, they do the Team Chevy update and they take a few calls, Tony talks about Washington and they start talking about how a lot of the fans this morning on The Morning Drive thought the race was boring and didn’t like it, especially David Poole, and Tony says he doesn’t understand how people think that because there was two and three wide racing going on when before if you did that, it would mean “Hello, wreck”.

So then Matt brings me up, saying that they were going to talk to “Karah from Georgia” and Tony’s like “Oh come on, you can’t blame Karah on this now…”

*heart stops*

Tony says my name. Tony takes up for me.

*Pees self*

So I come on and they ask me what I didn’t like about it and I explained what I told the producer, and that I liked the two and three wide racing, and I didn’t want to see any wrecks to make it exciting (which a lot of people were talking about this morning), but that the leaders didn’t change much… like there wasn’t much passing or anything going on, not like there was in the Busch race which was one of the best Busch races I’ve seen all year.

So Tony agrees with me… the Busch race kicked ass. Then he goes on to explain that there can’t always be changing in the leaders of the race because at some point in the race, someone’s car is going to get better and they are just going to whip the field and he goes on to talk about Jeff Gordon in some Sprint Car race years ago and all I could think about in the six minutes that he’s rambling is that… hey, Tony Stewart is talking to me.

So afterward, I get out of my truck, grab my backpack and books and it hits me.

Tony Stewart probably thinks I’m some dumb girl who knows nothing about racing. I mean, hello… I sat in Daytona and watched the Pepsi 400 with him leading almost ALL the laps. I was smart enough to turn right to go left when my tire blew out and I could have crashed. I know A LOT about the cars and racing.

But you know what…. Tony took up for me and said my name. That’s all that matters to me right now.

Besides that… today was long and just blah. I skipped my first class. I have the Math test on Wednesday and a Biology quiz on Wednesday. I want to start working out but a… I need to go buy some razors to shave my legs because I’m out and b… I have copy editing tomorrow night, that is if I get any articles in… got none in today although I know two are going to be late. On the radio front… I might be starting my show soon. Kevin (the radio guy) wants to train me I guess on the weekends so I can go ahead and get my show on the air. I also have to film some this weekend so hopefully Shannon will be available and I’ll probably have to share equipment with someone, maybe Adaobi.

*sigh* Tony said my name. God I love my boys.
