And in the last 2 hours… | Diary of a Track Bunny

A lot has happened! Jesus, I’m sitting here researching on questions to ask in an Interview tonight with Miss International 2007 and I go to Jayski and all hell has broken loose!

First off… JJ Yeley will be driving the #96 Hall of Fame Racing Car in 2008 (Toyota or Chevy? Who knows at this point). I’m okay with that decision since they’re still a part of Joe Gibbs Racing.

Secondly… Tony Eury, Jr. will be Dale Earnhardt Jr’s crew chief next year in the still unnumbered car, but seems to be the Mountain Dew / Amp Energy Drink / National Guard Chevrolet.

And Finally… Casey Mears will be moving to the #5 and Dale, Jr’s team will be the #25 team with a new number. Hm, how many numbers in how many years is this? This year it’s the 25. In 2006 it was the 42. The year before that… 41. He just keeps going lower and lower….

I don’t know what to make of all this? What next? Tony Stewart leaving JGR?

The best part of all of this for me is Casey going to the 5 with Alan. I was worried about him losing his car, and he does such a great job. I think he will work well with Casey. I will be interested to see if Gibbs is able to announce contract extentions with Tony and Denny tomorrow with the Toyota announcment.

I am glad that Tony Eury Jr is going with Jr. I am glad that Alan is going with Casey Mears. I am sort of worried about Tony and his reaction to Toyota. I guess we’ll see soon enough!

well at least some things are answered now

I’m slightly not happy bout Casey going to the 5 based on the sheer fact I have to go out and puchase all new stuff (again!!!) But I’m glad he will be working with Alan and Darian will be around in a team manager role. Speaking of this whole thing- I called into the Driver’s Seat on Sirius, I got through!!! Told them that I was unhappy with this whole having to buy new stuff thingy and they were very surprised. They didn’t think the Casey fans were upset- I proved them wrong. I think it was Phil Parsons who said it but they said my call was very refreshing.

Funniest graphic EVER, as well as most effed up lol. I just came on my computer after bein’ away from it for like a day and a half, and all this news just scrolled in front of me. Yay for the cousins on the same team, YAY for #5 turning into a pretty boy team lmfao, and DAMN, I relaly did like the idea of JJ becomin part of the Evernham trinity. Oh well.
