My brother and I were commentating via IM during the performance and then I went through a whole bunch of thoughts when I posted an LJ entry…I don’t like to bash the girl, but that was just a mess. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I knew there was just way too much hype to live up to and I have a feeling that she was sort of pushed into doing this performance.

She is either bipolar or she was on drugs and/or booze. I think she’s an exhibisionist. There are pictures out there from last night that show her pantiless again. She had supposedly heard Sara Silverman rehearsing before she went out but that doesn’t explain the stumpling etc.

Sorry but that was just sad. Train wreck doesn’t even do that justice. I agree with Tanmany2k, she had to be drugged or drunk she could bearly walk, couldn’t remember the words to her own song, and other than some very sick version of I don’t know what to call the only dance move she could do. If she wasn’t ready to perform she should have declined. There were more than enough musicians there that could have performed in her place. All I can say is that I am glad that I Tivo’d the VMA’s and watched the Dallas vs Giants game. Definately the worst award show I have ever seen.

Ooh, that was just painful. I too don’t have a body to carry that outfit off, but Brit, at least do a couple of extra situps to look fit.
