Today was pretty much a lazy day. We slept ’til noon, went to eat and then drove up to Mooresville, which is a nice little town but for some reason I don’t like it the way that I like Huntersville (and no, not just because of JGR). It’s like between all the places - Charlotte, Concord, Mooresville, Cornelius, Lake Norman, all of them and the JGR thing doesn’t hurt.

We went by JR Motorsports and looked around and pretty much got rushed by the staff to get out (well not really but they kept glaring at us to leave). They closed at five and it was just past four. Then we went up the road to Kasey Kahne Racing and my Mom and Penni stole some grass. Then we came back to the room, Penni and I went to Tara’s room and hung out, gossiped, watched “Dale” and tried to make Penni become a Junior fan.

So the race yesterday, huh? I can honestly say that I’m a little happy that Jeff won. I mean, I would rather Jeff won than Jimmie or Clint, but I can at least say that I saw Jeff Gordon win a race once…. and now I don’t have to see him win ever again, right? Right! I so thought Ryan was going to win after he pulled that ‘drive it like you stole it’ move at the end of the race.

And Tony… he was in rare form. Quotes from the night:

“Bang the son of a bitch!”

“My fucking teammate is a mother fucking cock sucker” (Denny)

“That fucking son of a bitch is an idiot!” (Ryan Newman)

“He’s a fucking idiot!” (Kasey Kahne)

Yeah, those were just SOME of the quotes. The Denny quote is my favorite. I really enjoyed the Fan View scanner though. I always thought it was a bad idea… takes your attention away from the actual race, which it does some but still… it’s cool as hell though.

Tomorrow we’re heading to all the major race shops that we’re interested in seeing.
