So I did my first full “Cars & Guitars” show tonight on my college radio station. I admit though… I was nervous at first but then I got the hang of it. I was alone for about the first 45 minutes until my friend Adam showed up (the old sports editor for the newspaper). His sports show comes on after mine and his co-host won’t allow him to talk about NASCAR so he gets to on mine. So the first song I played was obviously… “Fast Cars and Freedom” as a tribute to all the bunnies. I played music and gave a little country news until Adam showed up and we started to talk about NASCAR and…. I was so surprised. My boy, who I’ve tried to turn into a NASCAR fan for like three years now, is a NASCAR fan. He shocked me with how much he knew and he was just so excited to finally be able to talk about it.

I even got my first caller too that said I had a great voice, that I just needed to speak up a little. Kevin said the same thing, except that I was more lively when Adam was on I guess because I had someone to bounce back and forth with and that I sounded a little timid when I was alone but that’ll all go away soon enough. I had a good time though.

Next week though there will be no show because I will be in Charlotte with Tara and Penni, but the next show is going to rock more. *giggles* Adam and I are going to try to get it so that both my show and his show can be podcasted, so then I can put the links up here and everybody can listen!
