Dear Santa,

For Christmas, I want one simple thing - the perfect guy. I don’t want a fraternity boy who wears his polo shirts with his popped collar or gets a haircut every week. I want a boy who knows how to rock and a boy who knows how to make me laugh. I want a boy who can appreciate the fact that I have plans for my life and that I can’t spend every waking moment with him. I want a guy who can understand my love for sports and music. I want a guy who isn’t an asshole and isn’t all about appearance. I want a guy who isn’t perfect. I want a guy who isn’t scared to be himself and cares about things. Most of all, I just want the perfect guy for me.

When you Santa brings him, ask him if he has any brothers or cousins or friends that are just like him for me.

Fiftyish okay? J/K, I like rock, but I don’t rock, and I’m not good at relationships. All that being said, I think I fit the rest of your criteria, except, although I think I’m still a kid, I’m old enough to be your father. And I’m not rich enough to make that work.

Karah, set your sites higher. You don’t want a BOY, you want a real MAN. Add a PS to your letter to the Big Guy and add the word “sensitive.”
