You know, I laid in bed and thought about something this morning. JGR has always been strong in Chevy’s… granted they didn’t a race in the first part of the year, but they came close way too many times, just never getting to seal the deal… but ever since they announced that they were going to Toyota next year - they have basically sucked.
Do you think that Chevy has stopped giving Joe Gibbs Racing the support that they usually have knowing that they are leaving them at the end of the season (and already preparing with Toyota for 2008)?
Thoughts? Opinions? Snide Remarks?

That being said, GM does give more support to the HMS and RCR teams than to the other Chevy teams, which is one of the reasons JGR is changing their headlight and taillight stickers next year.

I think a lot of teams are starting to focus on next year, which means Chevy would be excluding JGR from several talks now. Likewise, JGR is probably starting to work some with Toyota to prepare for next year as well, which means they may not be working with Chevy as much as they used to.
On the other hand, though, I don’t think Chevy is neglecting JGR in any way. Their relationship just may not be as hand-in-hand as it used to be because they won’t be together next year.
