So something told me to call the loan company today to see how my case was going and the lady told me that they were mailing out a check later today so that everything went through! This isn’t a loan with the school so this is to help me pay for Summer and to go to the dentist to get that all done. I’m going to go ahead and start paying the fees and stuff now while I’m still in school. However, I asked for a little extra in the amount so that my Mom and I won’t be stuck at home during Christmas. I want to go to Nashville or Charlotte for Christmas… and from the looks of it, it’ll be Charlotte. I’d rather go to Nashville but it’s too expensive to go. Hopefully it’ll snow up in North Carolina, and hopefully we do get to go. It’ll be nice not being stuck here, alone because honestly, we’re always alone on Christmas - ever since my Granny died and even thinking about going somewhere for Christmas is making me be in the Christmas spirit and I haven’t been in the Christmas spirit since she died. I used to love Christmas and now, like every other holiday, it’s just another day. I want it to be special.

Going somewhere would make it special.

Also, while on this break, I’m going to try to get something published again. I’m going to work on submitting submissions and query letters to different agents.  I’m also going to be working on my resume and cover letter through the university.

I know a lot of people will probably think I’m going to waste this money since I’ve been told (and it’s laughable considering who told me) that I’m bad with managing money but I’m not. The only pleasure item I’m going to buy is an ipod and I don’t want one of the expensive ones with video because I don’t want it for video, I just want to play mp3’s and that’s it. I’m also going to buy me some dressy clothes (such as dress pants and kacki’s) and a few more dress tops for when I have interviews and such and if I have to do any on camera stuff. Also, I’m calling the dentist Monday to start my work.
