This morning has been enlightning so far… first off I wear my Vote for Hillary 2008 t-shirt to class this mornign where I immediately get jumped on. That’s one thing I hate about politics, people take it too fucking personally! So what? I want to vote for someone, who gives a crap! This chick, who I have no idea who she is, but she’s in one of my senior media classes, jumps on me practically saying “Why are you voting for her? What do you have to say for yourself?” and I replied: “Back off, it’s a t-shirt and it’s eight in the morning, shut the fuck up!”

And then I found out that Fox has called the school wanting students to come work for them again for Speedweeks down in Daytona but one thing… they must have a penis. Well, I wasn’t born with one, so I can’t. Basically, they’re wanting to be cheap and I guess put the guys all in one room together. It sucks but honestly, I don’t have time to really do it this semester with my classes and other responsibilities, but I would have liked to had the opportunity. Meeting and seeing Dierks Bentley and interviewing Luke Bryan is a little more important I believe, at least to me right now. Fine, I’m bitter, leave me alone but I’m okay with it. My mom wants to go to the Shootout but I just don’t think I want to. I’m just not excited the season is starting, I’m not into it at that moment, and I think I know why but I’m not going to say why on here but people can’t pretty much guess if they think about it. I’m a little burned by it all plus I’m so busy I don’t have time to even think about it.

Yeah, so I skipped my Astronomy lab tonight. I’ve been feeling off all freakin’ day and after work, I came home, took some meds and took a nap. I’m not sure what was up with me. Thankfully I have a counseling appointment on Wednesday after my Biology lab.

On a bright note, I got contacted today from Luke Bryan’s manager’s assistant (well she emailed me for the manager) about setting up an interview with Luke before he comes here on Feb 16th for the newspaper, so that’s awesome. He’s from South Georgia and hey, he co-wrote “Good Directions” which is one of my favorite songs. It’ll be nice to do a profile on him. It’ll be a nice addiction to my portfolio.

Clumsy because I’m falling in love… I’m off like a prom dress!

Everybody that knows me knows that I love clothes. I have a whole closet full and even some clothes that aren’t in the closet because I have no room. I buy stuff, wear it one or two times and never wear it again. There are some things that I can’t wear enough and there’s a hole in them.

For those that love new stylish junior clothing that are very affordable, I know where you should go…Heavenly Couture! They have quality clothing that can be purchased right off of their very chic website. Their prices beat the competition out of the ball park because everything is $17.95 or less! How can you get better than that? My favorite item is Fairy Eyelet Pink Cami that you can view to your right. If they had it in a few sizes larger, I would buy it in a heartbeat! I also like the Colorful Cap Sleeve Tee because I love sleeves that kind of poof up like that! I also really like the Black and White Empire dress. My friend would look great with that on and maybe a pair of jeans on a cold night? I like the dressy type tops that you can wear with jeans and Heavenly Couture has several of those.

This is an opinion piece column for this week’s newspaper about the WGA strike.

Are you tired of watching reruns of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Ugly Betty” on Thursday nights? You’re not alone and it’s all to be blamed on Hollywood.

Okay, so it’s not just Hollywood but mostly the studios and the Writer’s Guild of America (East and West). The writers’ have been on strike since early November because of several issues such as DVD royalties and the viewing and downloading of full episodes online that they were not being compensated for.

If I went to ABC.com and watched an episode of “Dirty Sexy Money,” the only person making money is the website owner (the studio) who was paid to place the advertising on the website.

The strike began when WGA’s contracts with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) ended on Halloween and talks began that night over the internet (new media) issue. The next day, the WGA committee that was negotiating with AMPTP suggested a strike and it officially began at at midnight on Nov. 5, 2007. (more…)

So, I haven’t really posted my thoughts on the whole Heath Ledger thing. Why? Well for several reasons… I didn’t have time, the energy, and emotionally, I wasn’t ready. I will admit that I have never been his greatest fan, but I love 75% of all his movies. I was ecstatic just a few weeks ago when classes started and that picture above was on the cover of one of my textbooks, for Digital Media Production. It made me watch “Brokeback Mountain” again. Then I bought “10 Things I Hate About You” because the movie is good, and I was started to become enthusied with him playing the Joker in Batman and then bam…

I see the news.

Heath Ledger is the real first celebrity that I was a fan of that died in my lifetime besides Chris Farley and Princess Diana and that hit me really hard at a really bad time. I’m older now and I understand how life and the industry works better. I understand what being a fan is more than I ever did when I was 17 (when Farley and Diana died). This has just caused me to look at so many things differently. I put a little memorial piece in the newspaper this week. Some laughed at me, but that’s my emphasis… entertainment and features… it’s my area.

OMFG… I just found out that REBA MCENTIRE, my “Mama” is coming here…. HERE… in concert. This is beyond my wildest dreams. I may have a chance to meet her!
