The past few days have been kind of hectic. I started getting sick at he beginning of the week and now I’ve been diagnosed with full blown strep-throat but I’m still kicking, going to classes and working. The paper was Wednesday night and we got finished early but I stayed and helped Taylor work on his resume and cd with some of his work to send over to the newspaper in Bainbridge because they’re looking for someone at he paper.
My Dierks concert review was in the paper yesterday and I think the layout of it with the photo spread was really good. I did it as if it were pictures thrown around the actual text. I’m going to upload the .pdf file of the page here tonight so if you want the password to view the protected post, email me at karah@trackbunnyfilms.com with “password” in the subject line.
Advising starts next week and the Summer and Fall schedule has been released. There are only two math classes being offered in the summer and both are with foriegn teachers. So I’m going to take two other classes and take Math along with my journalism classes in the fall. One of the classes I need for my cross-training journalism certificate isn’t being offered so I’m getting an independent study class for it where I’m going to work on web content for the website and write a digital media guide for upcoming journalist. I’m going to take Math with my old high school homeroom teacher because I know that if I’m having problems, that I can depend on him to help me. His wife was my 5th grade teacher and he was my homeroom teacher all during high school. All my classes are on Tuesday and Thursday except for one Monday class.
Speaking of high school, they’re planning our 10 year reunion. I’m not looking forward to it… at all. They want it to be this big drawn out thing during a weekend. Day one will include a family picnic in a park where everybody can bring their kids. I’m sorry, I don’t have any kids and don’t intend to babysit anybody else’s. A reunion should be a reunion…. that’s it. The second part will be a “ballroom” type event with everybody in evening gowns.
Uh, right.
I think the whole thing is ridiculous. All 85% of the people I graduated with still live in town and I can see them without paying over $100 dues for a reunion of people that treated me like shit in high school and that I don’t really care to see. It’s just stupid.
Also, I go to the oral surgeon on Tuesday for the first appointment. The good thing is he does surgery on Friday’s and hopefully I get everything done in one setting but I may have to have it done in two which will cost more. Whichever is simplest.
I have an exam in Ethics on Monday that I’ve got to study my ass off for this weekend. *twirls finger*
Now I need to get ready to go to Race, Class, and Gender. Tata for now!

I didn’t go to my 5 year reunion in 2006, but I wondered a little if I should have. Anyway, I totally agree with you about being a little thrown off by wanting a ball and a huge weekend thing.
Good luck studying and on the oral surgeon if I forget to say anything later.
