MY TONY IS BACK!

So I made $115 bucks today working. One job was $20 an hour and the other was my typical three hour job on Saturdays. Feels good making some good money. Of course, it’s all going to the dentist, but who cares.

I did, however, go splurge a little. I’ve been holding onto this $85 gift card from Best Buy and finally decided to treat myself to something today. I bought a TV tuner for my laptop b/c my old one is missing a chord and isn’t up to par with Vista and XP (yes, that’s how old it is). I also got “Enchanted” which I want to watch tonight but I’m kind of tired.

CONGRATULATIONS MR. TONY STEWART!!!

I don’t know, but seeing Tony with that little girl made my uterus hurt. How sweet was that? THAT is my Tony Stewart. I called him winning the Nationwide race yesterday. I think tomorrow may be a great day as well.

So technically I’m supposed to be at a party right now. Yeah, didn’t go. I wanted to. I was begged to, but after coming home, I was completely worn out and tired so I just took a shower and tried to relax since

Where do I start off about this week? The rape article was published, much to some dismay. They were upset but we did everything legally right and changes already are being made on campus to how the rape statistics are being reported.

I thought my ass was going to be chewed out today at the Communication Board meeting, where I was interviewed for the Editor-in-Chief position, but I wasn’t. I did, however, get the job, so I’m the new Editor-in-Chief on my school’s newspaper. It’s kind of strange since I started out there almost three years ago with no intention of ever writing for the newspaper, much less being the head editor.

I also passed my Mass Media Senior Seminar exam. How I passed, I have no idea because I didn’t think I did that good. What got me is that a lot of people who always seem to act as if they know what they’re doing and are these “brilliant” people… didn’t pass. They have to retake it. I was like what the hell?

Let’s just say that this past week has been hell. I got so caught up in this story that Katie and I were trying to break that I just completely wore myself out physically, emotionally, psychologically - everything, especially while working another job and going to school at the same time. I hear people bicker about having one job and school, but Jesus, try two or three and school. That’s what it’s like to be me, plus everything else I have to take care of in my life (ie: my health, worrying about my Mom, etc.)

Once school gets done with next week and all my projects are turned in, I’m going to work some on this site to change it around a little. I’ve been really getting into the celebrity news lately and I feel like on this site it’s taking away from what this is supposed to be about - me. I’m going to be opening a gossip site up on a site that I already own and haven’t been doing anything with really.

I just finished my Ethical Analysis for Media Ethics. I had planned on doing it today because I haven’t had time to do it yet (and it’s due tomorrow). I woke up this morning and my internet was dead so I spent the day in the office at school working on it. I’m completely worn out.

If Taylor Swift didn’t get enough excitement this week with her two Country Music Television awards, she got another shot when she learned she’d be on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine’s “The Best of Rock 2008″ issue.

“Am I dreaming? Somebody pinch me, because I cannot believe what has happened this week!” Swift told The Associated Press on Friday, the day the magazine hit newsstands.

“To say it’s overwhelming does not even cover it. I was so blown away by such an incredible night at the CMT awards, and then to find out the next day that I’m on the cover of Rolling Stone with Madonna, Bono and Springsteen! No way. I am completely in awe.” (more…)

Per People Magazine: Ashlee Simpson is one ecstatic wife-to-be, and her diamond sparkler had her gushing to Ryan Seacrest on Thursday morning.

Calling into to his KIIS-FM radio show Thursday morning, the 23-year old singer giggled when Seacrest brought up her impressive ring from fiancé Pete Wentz, 28. “It is [huge]!” Simpson said from her mother’s New York City hotel room, “I stare at it.
