Friday Fill-in #78

And the weekly Friday Fill-in….

1. Birthdays are somehow only another day for me. Mine is coming up in two weeks. Not really looking forward to it..

2. Winter is my favorite season because it’s cold and I don’t sweat lol.

3. I feel my best when I’ve achieved something.

4. Pizza is my favorite food!

5. First impressions are usually important, but not always.

6. The best piece of advice I ever received was you can’t be a fan and a nascar journalist at the same time and it’s not stalking, it’s investigative reporting.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to going to sleep, tomorrow my plans include decorating and cleaning the office with Katie and Sunday, I want to rest and write!

More Nick Carter & Kellie Pickler goodies…

In case you didn’t see the post below, Nick Carter and Kellie Pickler were out with one of their friends, a DJ at a radio station in Nashville, over the weekend and did a little karokee. There’s a few pics below, but here are some more.

Ah, Carter and Miss Pickler.

I love Kellie. Hell, she’s the one that picked me to win that trip to Nashville last year. I still don’t know how I feel about Nick being in Nashville. It’s like… if I move to Charlotte, I’m a NASCAR stalker. If I move to Nashville now, I’m a Nick stalker. Can’t he just leave my stuff alone? Nashville has been mine since I was a child!

I really wouldn’t mind if they started dating, or if Kellie introduced Nick to her bff Carrie Underwood.

That would be nice. Nick needs a good country girl *cough cough*

Nick Carter and Kellie Pickler?!?

Eh, not together, I don’t think… but photos have surfaced of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter (black t-shirt), who lives in Nashville now, with some friends and country singer Kellie Pickler (in the purple) apparently singing karokee.

I would approve of a Carter/Pickler collaboration.

Two more photos under the cut… (more…)

Sadler loves “Hancock”

If you know me, you know why I’m excited over this news:

In conjunction with Best Buy and Sony Pictures Entertainment, the #19 Dodge of Elliott Sadler will carry the movie title “Hancock” on the hood and rear bumper in New Hampshire. Starring Will Smith and Charlize Theron, the movie debuts in theaters on July 2. All Gillett Evernham Motorsports Dodges will carry a decal in New Hampshire honoring NHRA driver Scott Kalitta who died last weekend in a racing accident. (Jayski.com)

Today… Part Two (The Public Part)

The day started off with me waking up to the purring of one Miss Piper Prue on the pillow beside me, glaring me in the eyes. She kitty kissed me and I woke up as if I was in “Enchanted” or something. Yeah, that sounds a bit weird and gay.

Anyway, I head to school, drama about my check happens and I study for my test. I head to take my test, go pay my cell phone bill and then I go to Dairy Queen where they have my new guilty pleasure…. a Cherry Artic Rush! When it’s hot and humit outside and you’re longing for something, it’s better than sex, especially bad sex. On Friday after showing my mom around the new offices, we stopped by Diary Queen and got an ice cream cone. I kept eyeing the display but never got one. Yesterday after leaving class, I decided to go straight home but stopped by DQ to get one, just to try it. Love at first slurp, I’m telling you.

So I head back to the office to wait around for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new building that I will live in for the next six to eleven months, depending on when I graduate.  The internet finally works in the lobby where my desk at my work study job now, thank God!

Hopper Hall Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The ceremony started a little after six and at the hottest time of the day, I swear. The sun was glaring down on us and the men wore suits, of course. Then I spotted someone I hadn’t seen in a long time… Mrs. Carter, who was a teacher of mine when I went to school for web design. She taught keyboarding, but then went back to teaching high school and is now a State Representative in Congress or something… so I went to say hello to her and she remembered me and we talked. It was nice seeing her. I left school suddenly when I stopped going and never got to say goodbye to her because she left teaching there while I was on my “break.”

After that, I took a few more pics and I left to come home. I’m so freakin’ tired.
