I need you baby lookin’ just like that… I don’t care what people say, but I love Jessica Simpson’s new venture into country music. I have always been a fan of hers and I’ve had “Come on Over” on repeat for the last two weeks now.
Well, unlike most people I know, I did nothing this weekend. I didn’t celebrate sqwat. I didn’t have a barbaque. I didn’t go swimming. I didn’t do anything. I’m not really a person that likes to celebrate things like that. I guess that’s why when my birthday rolls around on Saturday, it will be just another ordinary day. I don’t really think celebrating things like the 4th of July is a big deal. That stuff happened how many years ago? We’re free. Woohoo. *twirls finger* But guess what? I was born 28 years ago and I’m here now. Celebrate me. Celebrate others birthdays. They’re still here. Like I said, it’ll be just another ordinary day. The friends I do have are away at home for the summer or moved because they got jobs and the ones I’ve ran away, well it’s just another day for them too.
I know I must sound bitter, but I haven’t really celebrated my birthday in a big way since I was seventeen, so I’m used to it. Last year I celebrated it with a friend who just up and disappeared out of my life, ignoring me, so who really cares. I really don’t. If people don’t want me in their lives, then so be it. I think it makes me a stronger person.
Speaking of old friends and ignoring, I finally decided it’s hard to ignore people that might not be your bff anymore when you’re in the same circle of online friends. Acquaintances we shall be, at least we know our limits now. It’s kind of like my relationship with my ex… we pretty much know it’s never going to be anything again and that it won’t work, so we’re acquaintances, although I don’t want to put the old bff in the same group as the asshole. Hi old bff if she reads this *waves* Hi ex if you’re reading this *flips you the bird* Yeah, someone from my hometown goggled my full name the other night and it lead to the site. Didn’t like that.
Other than that, I was just lazy this weekend. I tried to study for my exam on Tuesday but eh, I kept getting headaches. I have a busy week ahead of me though
Monday - Work, Class, Studying
Tuesday - Work while studying, studying, test, work
Wednesday - Dentist appointment, work, class, work?, then to the stadium for the ESPN filming
Thursday - Sarah should be back at the office and we can finally “decorate and get things in order”, work, and class
Friday - I have off and no class! But I’ll probably be at my office finishing stuff up.
And something a friend did in honor of the days until it’s her birthday….
I’m going to tell you guys 28 Things that I enjoy doing in honor of my 28th birthday on Saturday
- I like writing - whether it be articles or fiction, although I love writing articles lately more.
- I enjoy designing layouts, whether it’s in the newspaper or websites.
- I like getting music and listening to albums before they’re released. It makes me feel special.
- I like being on the radio, whether it’s be calling in to a DJ or if it’s on my own radio show at station, I love it.
- I enjoy trying to make guys blush by telling dirty jokes or being a pervert.
- I like flashing my press pass around.
- I love taking pictures, especially at concerts and of celebrities. It’s something I’ve been into since I started going to concerts.
- I loooove CelebReality on VH1! It’s really the only reality television that I watch, because it’s so damn good.
- I enjoy going to NASCAR races but I think since working with Fox that week and then going back to a race as a fan, I realize which one I enjoy doing more - working at them.
- I enjoy being around other fans, whether it’s NASCAR or music, because I realize that deep down, I’m not that crazy.
- I love when I get mentioned in places. For instance, I’ll get random google searches here because of my old BSB fan fiction or when I was interviewed in the LA Times for NASCAR groupies and how I thought you could spot them. It makes me feel special and that I’m of some importance or something.
- I enjoy spending time just watching television with Piper or Phoebe in my lap.
- I love cold weather. I hate hot weather.
- I enjoy keeping up with celebrity gossip and really, I think it’s one of the things I’m good at. That’s why if my journalism career in NASCAR or sports in general doesn’t work out, I want to be a gossip columnist. I think I have the sense of humor for it.
- I enjoy watching cheezy porn… but can’t lately because I don’t have cinamax or anything!
- I enjoy when things happen in real life that I’ve written about in fan fiction: IE Brian and Kevin announcing their engagements before the 2000 Grammy Awards, Nick moving to Nashville and getting into country music, Tony falling for a female driver (well it could be true if the Chrissy thing is real…)
- I like when people actually do something nice for me. I try to be nice to people and I swear, I try.
- I also enjoy being a bitch. It’s my goal in life.
- I enjoy being motivated and if I’m out to get something or prove a point, that I’m going to make the point proven. I think that’s why I butt heads when people a lot.
- I enjoy when my mom gets excited when Kyle Busch wins a race.
- I enjoy listening to Miley Cyrus.
- I enjoy being in power, like at the paper, and having authority. I’ve never had much of that in my life and I think it’s good experience for me.
- I enjoy being nosey. I think that’s why I make a good journalist.
- I enjoy watching anything and everything Will Ferrell does. The man is a genius. Sam with Kevin Smith.
- I enjoy trying to pass people on curves… makes me feel like I’m in a race.
- I like getting different colors of eyeshadows and fingernail polish even though I don’t wear anything half the time.
- I enjoy smiling now!
- I loved having long talks with him about life and love. We sat there for almost two hours once talking about it. I miss it. *sniff* Those who know me well enough to know what I’m talking about.
There you go… 28 things I enjoy doing.
Now I’m gonna finish this new Miley Cyrus song, “Four Walls” from her new album coming out this month and I’m heading to bed.
Oh and what do I want for my birthday? Doesn’t matter, because I’m not getting it. It’s not able to be purchased in a store because if it was, yo, I’d already bought it lol

Yeah, a birthday is supposed to be your special day, but I don’t really go all out celebrating it. I just enjoy a simple acknowledgement from a few people.
