Congrats baby boy! I knew you could do it! I’ll post my thoughts on today’s race later on. It made me believe in the power that is NASCAR and Tony Stewart once again. People said his time was over with. Psh, they don’t know jack.

As for Regan Smith, who I’ve met and he seems like a great guy, whatever. If he would have went on the outside of Tony, he would have had the win, but he went below the yellow line. NASCAR preaches to never go below the yellow line for position and, I’m sorry, but that was for position. Go back and cry to Teresa Earnhardt.

Congrats to Elliott Sadler, Regan, David Ragan, Paul Menard, and Kenny Wallace on their great runs today.

Didn’t it seem funny to anyone else that this is the first time this rule has been called into question? I find it really hard to believe this kid had an issue understanding the rules. Even has a fan I know it is crystal clear: NO NO NO NO NO passing under the yellow line. Period. There’s never been talk of oh, but on the last lap you can…no. I have never heard any exceptions to that rule. No one else heard what Smith heard at that drivers meeting either. It’s not like anyone is stepping forward and saying that Smith did hear NASCAR right. So either someone really needs to start paying attention in drivers meetings or he did it on purpose. My thinking is that he saw his golden opportunity and went for it, hoping Stewart would back off since he is in the chase and would be a little more cautious. Tony never “forced” him off the line, Smith chose to go down there instead of letting off the gas. Tony did a completely legal block. It’s his own damn fault and if it was on purpose, we will see soon the rise of a new villan (cue smoke and ominous music now).

Oh, and I think Regan would have issues finding Theresa for a shoulder to whine on. She’s too busy trying to figure out how to dig her team out of the 20ft hole she has dropped them in. If Senior were alive today and driving for a team in that kind of hole, he would leave himself. It’s sad she has reduced his once thriving team and legacy to this.

I’m not a fan of Regan’s or Tony’s so I really could care less who won yesterday’s race if given that choice. I will say that the controversy in my opinion is with NASCAR’s inconsistency. More than one example of NASCAR “not minding” this situaton on the last lap has been pointed out since the race yesterday. That makes it really hard to not see part of Regan’s point of view here for me.

I am glad Tony got the win. I had hoped he’d win at least one before leaving JGR.
