Last year I took part in Blogathon 2007, which was something that I had seen done on the web for a year or two, but never had a real blog that I stuck with to take part. Last year, I raised just over $600 for Victory Junction Gang Camp (hopefully the pledges were sent to them!). Unfortunetly, this year there will be no Blogathon 2008.

There will be a Day of Blogs 2008! A few new people are holding the event where bloggers blog for 24 straight hours to raise money for their favorite charity. While I can’t take part this year, my good friend Tara is and she’s going to be blogging for VJGC just like I did. I will be supporting her in this endeavor and will be helping her raise money since I can’t take part in the actual event this year due to prior commitments.

So head over now and donate, donate, donate to Tara and Victory Junction Gang Camp because I guarantee you, Tara being up for 24 hours straight will be highly entertaining! Click after the jump to view her badge that she has created!

I’ve been visiting Tina’s blog, appropriately titled TinaRenee.com for gosh, almost two years now? She was one of the very first real NASCAR blogs that I started visiting religiously online because of her love and admiration for one handsome devil — driver of the #20 Chevy (and soon to be Toyota) Home Depot for Joe Gibbs Racing — Tony Stewart.

There are time periods where I don’t really get over to see what’s going on with her or Tony because I’m so busy with school but it was really her blog that inspired me to want to create my own. Between her love of NASCAR, getting her daughter Hannah Montana tickets, and driving her little orange bug that I most desperately want myself, she is one of the true, real bloggers who doesn’t sugar coat anything. Plus, she is one of the view fans who can give me the pleasure of viewing this along with all the hundreds of other Smoke (Tony’s nickname for you non-NASCAR fans) pictures in her photo gallery.

Now I created this post for a contest over at Reese’s site, ScribbeScratch.com, but I think I’m going to make it at least a weekly feature. I’ll post a page later this week or weekend with instructions on how to nominate people For the time being, go check out Tina’s blog and enjoy in the Tony love.
