Britney Spears returned to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana early Friday, Usmagazine.com has learned.

The singer left L.A. via a private jet to attend her 17-year-old sister Jamie Lynn’s baby shower Saturday.

Their mom Lynne flew back to Kentwood April 24 after spending months looking after Britney in L.A.

Jamie Lynn was left alone with fiance Casey Aldridge to celebrate her birthday on April 4.

“Touch My Body” singer Mariah Carey got secretly hitched to her 27-year-old boyfriend-of-one-month, shocking the chart-topping songbird’s family and friends, The Post has learned.

Carey married little-screen actor Nick Cannon at the home Carey just bought in Eleuthera, the Bahamas, a source close to the singer said.

“They have been smitten with each other for days, weeks,” the friend said. “And she’s always had a crush on him.”

It’s the second marriage for Carey, who took her first walk down the aisle with record kingpin Tommy Mottola.

Cannon has last been linked with Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks, to whom Cannon proposed via the Times Square jumbotron. Five months later, the couple broke up. (more…)

NEW YORK - Roger Clemens had a decade-long relationship with country star Mindy McCready that began when she was a 15-year-old aspiring singer and the pitcher was a Boston Red Sox ace, the Daily News reported.

Clemens’ lawyer, Rusty Hardin, confirmed a long-term relationship but told the newspaper it was not sexual.

“He flatly denies having had any kind of an inappropriate relationship with her,” Hardin said. “He’s considered her a close family friend. … He has never had a sexual relationship with her.”

I love it!” says 15-year-old Miley Cyrus, speaking of Sex and the City over spinach-artichoke dip in a dingy Toluca Lake restaurant that for some reason, possibly native to the San Fernando Valley, is divided between cheerful families enjoying Saturday lunches and a glum row of barflies passing time by watching I-don’t-know-what on ESPN Classic. The restaurant was Cyrus’s choice. She loves the dip and the turkey-melt sandwich. She’s here with her mother, Tish, her eight-year-old sister, Noah, and somewhere between a dozen and two dozen paparazzi, who followed the Cyruses from their nearby home and are now waiting for Miley in the restaurant’s parking lot. Noah, curiously, looks like Dakota Fanning.

But back to Sex and the City. Miley says her Disney Channel sitcom, Hannah Montana, in which she plays a schoolgirl with a secret life as a rock star, is patterned in part after the former HBO series about women looking for love and hookups in Manhattan. “Obviously not the scenarios,” she explains quickly. “But if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters—that’s a thing we try to do on our show.” (more…)

Another day, another candid-camera controversy for Miley Cyrus.

The Hannah Montana star has issued a statement exclusively to E! News about her provocative pictures in Vanity Fair. In the new issue, the 15-year-old Disney sensation appears to be topless. News of the spread was first teased by Entertainment Tonight.

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” she says. “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.’”

The Disney Channel is also defending its beloved starlet, telling E! News “a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.” (more…)

Ashlee Simpson is pregnant, Usmagazine.com has confirmed.

The singer, 23, is expecting her first child with fiance Pete Wentz, 28.

Simpson and the Fall Out Boy frontman announced their engagement Wednesday.

“We are thrilled to confirm their engagement and congratulate this happy couple,” Wentz’s rep told Us. “Beyond that there is nothing to say.”

Simpson’s rep had no comment.

As Paris Hilton continues to traipse the world following her boyfriend Benji Madden on his Good Charlotte tour, casting directors in New York struggle to find a person willing to become the socialite’s best friend.

The makers of Paris’s new reality show, in which she holds auditions to find a new BFF (best friend forever), were hoping for a huge turn-out of potential applicants for casting calls.

However, they didn’t get the number of people they had hoped for. One source tells OK!: “There were less than 40 people there.”

Despite the low number in attendance, there was lots of variety. One person who auditioned reveals: “There were girls wearing matching pastel prom dresses with Swarovski crystal pendants and updos, ghetto-fabulous girls and two goth-inspired girls with bleach blonde hair, pale makeup, eyelash extensions and leather clothing.” (more…)

‘Idol” Carrie Underwood and boyfriend Chace Crawford of “Gossip Girl” have split–and it all happened electronically.

“We broke up over text, so it’s like ‘peace out,’” Underwood told “Extra.” “It was completely mutual, we’re both fine.”

But this is all old news to Underwood.

“When you break up with somebody and then like two months later it comes out, it’s like you’re rehashing old stuff,” she told “Extra.”
