So, I haven’t really posted my thoughts on the whole Heath Ledger thing. Why? Well for several reasons… I didn’t have time, the energy, and emotionally, I wasn’t ready. I will admit that I have never been his greatest fan, but I love 75% of all his movies. I was ecstatic just a few weeks ago when classes started and that picture above was on the cover of one of my textbooks, for Digital Media Production. It made me watch “Brokeback Mountain” again. Then I bought “10 Things I Hate About You” because the movie is good, and I was started to become enthusied with him playing the Joker in Batman and then bam…

I see the news.

Heath Ledger is the real first celebrity that I was a fan of that died in my lifetime besides Chris Farley and Princess Diana and that hit me really hard at a really bad time. I’m older now and I understand how life and the industry works better. I understand what being a fan is more than I ever did when I was 17 (when Farley and Diana died). This has just caused me to look at so many things differently. I put a little memorial piece in the newspaper this week. Some laughed at me, but that’s my emphasis… entertainment and features… it’s my area.

Yes, that is the title of my script for my movie I’m shooting this weekend. I just finished it. I might stay and see Kerry on the radio for the very first time during Kevin’s show tonight but eh, I might just go home. I’m feeling creative. I might go design a new layout for Track Bunnies. I’ve been neglecting my baby.

Plus, I’m hungry as hell.

Btw, I forgot to mention I won a book on the morning drive on sirius this morning answering a question. It’s a book about how big money changed NASCAR which should go along good with my next presentation in class!

So I did my first full “Cars & Guitars” show tonight on my college radio station. I admit though… I was nervous at first but then I got the hang of it. I was alone for about the first 45 minutes until my friend Adam showed up (the old sports editor for the newspaper). His sports show comes on after mine and his co-host won’t allow him to talk about NASCAR so he gets to on mine. So the first song I played was obviously… (more…)
