So I’ve always let it be known that I never cared much for Dale Earnhardt. When I was a teenager (over 10 years ago (cries) and liked Jeff Gordon, he was the one driver I loathed. He was the Michael Vick to my Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. When he died is when I was disattached with the sport. I said “hmm” and went on with my life. I knew who his son was and I knew he was different than his dad but I wasn’t phased by it.

My sports writer / radio host paper boy Adam showed me a web site last week, I forgot the url, but it said the only right turn ever made in NASCAR was by Dale Earnhardt. You can take that any way you want to take it. To me, I got a chuckle out of it because I know better. Can you say road courses?  Then there was the part of me that knew that was a horrible thing to say.

Yet.. I still really wasn’t an Senior fan… until tonight. (more…)

Dale Earnhardt Jr. blames his step-mother Teresa Earnhardt, the owner of Dale Earnhardt Inc., for not allowing the #8 to move with him to Hendrick Motorsports next season. “She either feels too personal about the number, or the rift between me and her is too personal (aka… she’s a bitch!),” Earnhardt Jr. said Saturday. “I’m not going to sit here and get personal about this.
