Real Chance of Love (starring Real and Chance - The Stallionaires - from “I Love New York” and “I Love Money”)

America’s two favorite brothers Real and Chance tried to steal New York’s heart in the VH1’s hit series I Love New York but were both left broken-hearted. Now the Stallionaires are back and ready to find love in their own new 11-episode series. Real and Chance will get their much deserved, and much anticipated chance to find real love as 15 young ladies move into their Stallionaire ranch house and try to capture their hearts. In the final episode, Chance and Real will make the most difficult decision of their lives. With two women vying for each of their hearts, they must decide who they would like to take a real chance of love with, and who’s going home alone. (more…)

This week has been one of the most hectic, yet highly interesting weeks of this year so far.

It started out with me going to work and class on Monday and then leave to interview the President of our university. He’s new, having taken over the position barely two months ago. He came from a school in South Dakota so being in southern Georgia is a drastic change for him, especially the accents he joked. He’s really nice and the interview went over well.  The highlight of the trip to the President’s office was finding out that all the ladies in the office are NASCAR fans - a Hendricks fan, Carl Edwards, and I forgot who the others liked. They also liked Tony Stewart and we discussed his race on Sunday and his antics. (more…)

Taylor Swift / Big Machine Records

I was questioning the song title when I first heard about it. I mean, “Love Story” is very typical of a teenage love song. The title alone kind of makes me cringe… but then I listened to it.

The lyrics take you further into a relationship than a typical love/country song will take you. My favorite lyric is Cause you were Romeo I was a scarlet letter and my daddy said stay away from Juliet.

Taylor doesn’t just talk about the Romeo & Juliet, but she throws in other tails of literature’s forbidden love into the lyrics. (more…)

I was in a store the other day and saw all of these different kinds of baby strollers. I remember when I was younger, there were one or two different kinds but now they have all kinds. They have strollers that the seat can come out and be a carrier. They have strollers that come in all colors and even some with little hoods over it to keep the sun out of the baby’s eyes. It’s amazing at what they have done with baby strollers now a days.

For the first time since 2002, I actually sat and watched the entire MTV VMA Awards.

To say the least, I was not disappointed.

Where shall I begin? Should I begin with the hilarious opening sequences with Britney Spears and Superbad’s Jonah Hill of “relaxing techniques?” What about host Russell Brand discussing how the Jonas Brothers’ purity rings should be around their penises?

This has been the best MTV Awards show since the 1999 MTV VMA’s hosted by Chris Rock. (more…)
