To say the least, I haven’t been myself lately. I’ve pretty much recluded to myself except for my friends at work and my mom. I want to say I’m falling back into depression, but I don’t think it’s that bad. I mean, for instance, I’ve half as blogged in the past two months unless it’s something entertainment wise, which is the reason for this post.
Something is up with me, and hearing one of AJ McLean’s solo songs that he performed at his first solo show as AJ and not Johnny No Name is tearing me up. It’s called “Sincerely Yours” and it’s about his father, who like mine, is a piece of shit. You can click here to see the video and read more to see the lyrics from a fan site…. (more…)
So I’m watching the final top 10 songs of the 1990’s on VH1 and here is the list. While I agree with most, some I do not… but I must say, seeing my boys, Backstreet Boys, in the number three spot warms my heart. Where is ‘N Sync? Thirty. Ha. Who is the real talent?
Italicized are the songs that I love and albums I own.

My God…. I swear, something will just come hit your ass and you remember how much you lust after someone. That someone will remain nameless, but they’re in the new Backstreet Boys video haha… so yeah, not that hard to guess. I LOVE this video… simple, black and white, the sun shining behind Nick’s head… very nice… the chick could go but eh.
While the turn of phrase may be cliché, the overall sound of “Unbreakable” screams it loud and clear: Backstreet’s back. Unlike 2005’s uneven “comeback” album “Never Gone,” its follow-up finds the Boys dipping into their old bag of classic pop songs. They are a boy band with spot-on harmonies: They sing huge, hooky choruses; belt out sappy bridges (”I’m a house of cards in a hurricane,” the group wails on “Helpless When She Smiles”); and bop and groove to slickly produced dance numbers. Nearly everything here is top 40 or AC radio-ready, particularly the piano-driven first single, “Inconsolable,” and the Beatles-y “Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon.” The boy band heyday might be long over and the group is now a man down (Kevin Richardson departed to pursue other interests), but Backstreet’s ready to try and melt your heart once again. —Jill Menze
Remember the pictures on the right? Well the single CD cover for “Drowning” were pictures shot from the original video shoot where they wore leather and were… wet.
Nick’s newly freshed pierced ears. AJ freshly out of rehab. Kevin’s long, stringy hair… Howie… being Howie.
The video never made it to light, Jive paid video director Nigel Dick to redo the video and the original was never seen.
Sometimes a piggy back ride is just a piggy back ride. If you don’t believe us, just ask Lou Pearlman. The boy band kingmaker recently defended himself from allegations in Vanity Fair of inappropriate behavior with his young charges.
Now, a NATIONAL ENQUIRER investigation has uncovered more strange behavior from Lou, including this exclusive photo of his piggy back ride for a grown up A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys.
In the new issue of The ENQUIRER, Bob Carter, father of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter reveals that Nick’s mom was worried Lou had molested her son. “Jane made the accusations when Nick was just 15,” Bob Carter told The NATIONAL ENQUIRER. “She took Nick to a therapist because of it. The therapist decided that Lou never touched Nick, but Jane was still convinced of it.” (more…)
