Dentist, Pain, Oh My!

So, I woke up this morning and went to Senior Seminar and came home…. and went to have surgery. The surgery went good, but I was high as a kite. They gave me an IV and I was under the laughing gas stuff and it felt so good. Right now, my mouth is really sore and I can’t chew anything. I have one more procedure to go and another dentist visit and I’m done. I’m getting that all done at the end of this month/beginning of next.

Last night, I ended up getting a virus on my desktop. I had to revert my hard drive back to factory settings and I’m still getting that all worked out.

Also, did anybody see the Today Show this morning? New Kids on the Block are back baby! All five of them - Donny, Jordan, Joey, Jonathon, and Danny. I’m SO hoping to go see them on their tour this summer.

I think the boybands are coming back. Take That. New Kids. Backstreet. Yes, baby, yes.

I’m here with my confession…

For those that don’t know, I basically got my online start by writing Backstreet Boys fan fiction. Well I stopped a few years ago and closed all that stuff down, except for a archive site where I hosted mine and lots of other fans hosted theirs there as well.

Well today, a piece of my history is back - My Confession is back online! I’ve redone McFanGirl.Org so that you can take your pick of NASCAR, My Confession, or Backstreet Fiction. If any of you want to read something on My Confession, read “The Trouble With Love.” I’m pretty proud of that story and it’s the last real Backstreet story that I wrote.

I work tomorrow from 11 to 5:30 p.m. in the Student Life office tomorrow. Whoo hoo!

People tell me, you stay where you belong

I have been on a major Nick Carter kick all day. Yes, to all you NASCAR fans that visit this site, I am a certified Backstreet fanatic. Okay, so I don’t cry when I see them in concert, but I did tell Nick Carter to stop stalking me (long story). LMFAO! To deal with this stuff and after reminising of old internet “fame” in the Backstreet world, I’m going to start my own personal BSB site up again. Not one where people can post their stories, but one of my OWN. It will also include my NASCAR stories. McFanGirl and Backstreet Fiction will stay as they are but I think I need to do this for myself. (more…)

First a Clint Bowyer jacket….

First there was this….. now this picture. That’s Kevin Harvick’s in-car camera up there on the television. I think Mr. Nickolas Carter enjoys himself some NASCAR. Stop copying me… bastard!

I’m sitting here at work, watching CNN and listening to the candidates gives speeches, getting ready for the next voting session. I only work three hours today and then I’m heading back home. I’ll be doing my radio show on Saturday’s after work from now on, but not this week or next weekend either. I’m going to the dentist this Thursday and then next Monday for some work and I’m scared shitless. I’m more or less scared that it’s going to hurt so much that I’m not going to want to work or go to class and I can’t not do that.

I’m also trying to decide if I want to get the pay-per-view of the Chili Bowl tonight. I want to see the race, but I don’t really want to spend the money on it. How sad is that? Eh, I’ll watch DeGrassi instead. If one of my other boys were in it, I would get it, but that’s $20 I can use on something else.

First Day of Class So Far….

My last real full semester of college has started off on a good start. My Media Ethics class should be interesting. I think I’ll enjoy my Astronomy class and my Race Class & Gender class seems cool. I’m at work now, but will leave shortly to head upstairs to the office before heading to the newspaper class to meet with the new reporters. Then I come back to work until 8pm when I have my Astronomy lab. *sigh*

In other news, TGOM, who we all in the NASCAR fandom bow down to for her great NASCAR gossip, posted some pre-season stuff and…. Kasey Kahne has an older woman with a kid as his girlfriend? Interesting. The blind item is what got me…. I believe it’s Tony Stewart. I heard that Tara’s ex-husband was a big Tony Stewart fan, so LMFAO Whooo, that’s some good stuff. That makes my day.

In other news, Perez Hilton is reporting that Backstreet Boys are going to be dropped from Jive Records. I think that’s the best thing for everybody because Jive doesn’t promote them like they should and pick horrible songs for singles. It’s like they’re wanting BSB to fail.

And now I must close down my laptop and head upstairs in a few minutes to the office. Hope everybody is having a good Monday!
