Ouch! NASCAR handed down penalties today for the primary cars of #66 (driven by Scott Riggs) and #70 (Johnny Sauter) of Haas CNC Racing.
The cars were found to be in violation of Sections 12-4-A, better known as “actions detrimental to stock car racing,” and 20-3.1.3A, also known as “wing mounting locations were not as specified). These sections are part of the mysterious NASCAR Spring Cup Series Rule book.
Both crew chiefs and the car chiefs for the two Chevrolets, Bootie Barker and Derick Jennings (#66) and Dave Skog and Thomas Harring (#70), have been suspended for the next six NASCAR Spring Cup Series events and suspended from NASCAR until July 9. They are also placed on probation until Dec. 31.
Crew Chiefs Barker and Skog have also been fined $100,000 a piece. (more…)
