2008 CMT Awards (AKA Snoop Goes Country & Taylor Rocks)

You know it was going to happen sooner or later… my 2008 CMT Awards post!

My thoughts:

• I’m a Taylor Swift fan for life. The girl is talented, pretty, knows how to rock it, and as tall as I am.
• SNOOP DOGG!
• That opening act with all the Presidential candidates was funny as hell.
• I like Miley Cyrus and I’m not ashamed.
• Rascal Flatts, I love you guys, but enough ready and Joe Don, are you in the 1800’s? Tiffany’s “bearing” your child? Boil some hot water to help with the birth!
• Kellie Picker is the bomb.
• Luke Bryan is the bomb.
• Taylor Swift is the bomb.
• Maybe this time next year, I’ll be able to be there in person.

Snoop Dogg Has Three Words for LeAnn Rimes: ‘Wow, Wow, Wow’

Taylor Swift may have been the big winner at Monday night’s Country Music Television Awards – but it was Snoop Dogg who stole the show.

The rapper – wearing a black cowboy hat, black duster jacket and black zip-up ankle boots – was in high demand backstage.

Swift grabbed him for photos, saying “I’m a huge fan!” At another point, he and Jason Aldean were spotted comparing cowboy boots. “Snoop said he liked my boots with the square toe and then he said I was a pimp,” boasted Aldean. “That’s got to be the ultimate compliment, when Snoop calls you a pimp.” (more…)
