Well, okay, not Dierks, but his wife Cassidy is pregnant!
Dierks Bentley and wife Cassidy are expecting their first child this fall, the country star reveals on his fan Web site.
“Cass’s eggo is preggo!” he writes on the premium section of his site. “We are excited about adding onto the family, but we aren’t too sure how the current kids, Jake and George, are going to feel about it.”
Jake and George are the couple’s dogs.
Bentley, 33, and Cassidy, 32, eloped in 2006 in a little chapel in Mexico, where Bentley is now on tour. “Mexico has always been a special place for us,” writes Bentley.
He says the couple have “gone back and forth” on whether to find out the baby’s gender. “At this point, we are keeping it a surprise until it happens this fall,” he writes. (People Online)

Okay so it’s not as dirty as it sounds. I will be slowly uploading the pictures over the next few days. I’m sort of a photography freak - especially since I got my new camera and the lens I have for it - but I took 900 photos LMAO! Some were deleted for being a bit blurry but the majority are very good.
Anyway, the concert was awesome! First off, I must say that Dierks is by far one of the nicest celebrities I’ve met in a meet and greet type setting. He was so nice and personable. I think my favorite part of meeting him was he looked at my press pass that I had on and asked if I was a writer and all and I noticed he spelled my name right on my picture and I’m like “Hey, how did you know how to spell my name?” and he laughed, telling me he cheated by looking at my card LMAO! He also said he liked the spelling of my name and that I could stay around backstage and take as many pics as I wanted. Before heading back out to my seat, I saw a few guys that I go to school with that work on the camera crew there at the theme park and talked with them.
I missed seeing Bucky Covington and I’m not too broken hearted, though. Luke Bryan, on the other hand, was AMAZING. He knew how to draw the crowd in and his little stage moves remind me of Billy Currington. He sung all of his songs, along with “Good Directions” which he co-wrote for Billy. Dierks part of the concert was pure magic. He reminds me of Garth Brooks on stage, running from end to end and then just getting so involved in the show itself that he doesn’t know what to do next. I really liked the acoustic part of the show when he sung “My Last Name,” which is one of my favorite songs. The show was so entergetic and just… awesome. That’s all I can really say about it.
Now I must go get some sleep…. the Daytona 500 is tomorrow.

Dierks Bentley might still have ‘a lot of leavin’ to do’, but not until he hits the stage Saturday night at Wild Adventures.
Bentley, who has performed at Wild Adventures twice before, is making Valdosta the third stop on his “Throttle Wide Open” tour.
Bentley, a native of Phoenix, AZ, jumped on the country charts in 2003 with his breakthrough single, “What Was I Thinkin’,” a song about a girl in a “little white tank top.” With the release of his second album in 2005, Bentley became a major star in country music with his hits like the sexy ballad “Come a Little Closer” and a song from his third album, “Every Mile a Memory.”
Opening for Bentley on his 2008 tour is American Idol alum Bucky Covington and South Georgia’s very own Luke Bryan. (more…)

So, I haven’t really posted my thoughts on the whole Heath Ledger thing. Why? Well for several reasons… I didn’t have time, the energy, and emotionally, I wasn’t ready. I will admit that I have never been his greatest fan, but I love 75% of all his movies. I was ecstatic just a few weeks ago when classes started and that picture above was on the cover of one of my textbooks, for Digital Media Production. It made me watch “Brokeback Mountain” again. Then I bought “10 Things I Hate About You” because the movie is good, and I was started to become enthusied with him playing the Joker in Batman and then bam…
I see the news.
Heath Ledger is the real first celebrity that I was a fan of that died in my lifetime besides Chris Farley and Princess Diana and that hit me really hard at a really bad time. I’m older now and I understand how life and the industry works better. I understand what being a fan is more than I ever did when I was 17 (when Farley and Diana died). This has just caused me to look at so many things differently. I put a little memorial piece in the newspaper this week. Some laughed at me, but that’s my emphasis… entertainment and features… it’s my area.
Other than the tragic news, my week has just been odd. (more…)

The past few days have been a blur, especially with the dental nightmare. I just wanted to thank everybody for the comments. I really appreciate it. I’m trying to take the next step in the process but after that horror, it’s going to take me a few weeks I think. I’m still not over it. All I do is think about it and I start crying. I know that’s sad and probably sounds a bit childish, but dental work comes in second behind the little slithery things that start with an ’s’ that I can’t say the word outloud - but you can probably guess. Oh, and to make all of that better… guess who is going to meet Dierks Bentley? *points at self*….
Thankfully I have Monday off of school so that I can prepare for a few things that I need to do. I need to write up my opinion piece for the newspaper on the WGA strike and I do have a few things to say about that being a writer and a fan of television, so it’ll be interesting. I also have to do an assignment for Media Ethics about a documentary called “Death in Gaza.” Has anybody seen it? It kind of pulled at my heartstrings a little and yes, the cold bitch that I am cried in class while watching it. You should all check it out. Besides those things, I also have to study some for an Astronomy Quiz on Wednesday. (more…)
