Worst Dating Shows Ever

“Rock of Love With Bret Michaels,” VH1 (2007-2008)
Poison front man Michaels auditions “ladies” to be his “rock of like, rock of lust and rock of love.” Tall order, that. The show has the usual elements of contemporary dating shows: contestant debasement, foul language, a very questionable goal — but somehow it transcends the genre. The season finale was the best hour of TV this year, with tattooed “adult star” Daisy wracked with sobs while polished “TV personality” Ambre bobbed her coiffed head with poise. The interaction between the two finalists was rich (”God, Ambre, quit calling me a stripper!” “Daisy, that’s your job! That’s what you do!”). Because Daisy lost, I predict next season will feature her own show, “Bump and Grind of Love.”

Flav teams with T.O.

Looks like two of the most eligible black celebrity bachelors are joining forces.

NFL star Terrell Owens (T.O.) is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of Flavor Flav’s new TV series ‘Under One Roof.’

The MyNetworkTV show, which is currently filming its inaugural season out in Vancouver , is slated to debut April 16 at 8:00 p.m.

“As the buzz continues to build around the premiere of ‘Under One Roof’ we are thrilled that football superstar T.O. will be teaming with Flavor Flav to help kick off the inaugural season of this hilarious new sitcom,” said network’s President, Greg Meidel. (more…)
