Princess for a day….

Margaret (rivensky), one of the hillarious owners of LOLDrivers, and a Pretty Boy Jamie McMurray lover, sent this to me for my birthday. Thanks to everybody for all the wishes and a few goodies I got from people (I love you, Tara! Even if I am a bitch sometimes lol).

My birthday has been a normal day so far. I slept until 11:30 a.m. Woke up to about 15 emails with birthday wishes (even from Mr. Dierks Bentley - you know he loves him some Karah). I think I’m getting a bladder infection which hasn’t bugged me in a year and a half, so I’m due I supposed. Just hope it doesn’t lead to my gallbladder. It seems like everybody I know is getting them out lately, so many young people, it’s weird.

One thing that I finally did today is open up Track Bunny Magazine! It’s just an online magazine for female race fans and I’m looking for people to write, whether it’s news, or columns. (more…)

Friendships can burn in hell. The end.

In the past two years of finding myself and realizing just exactly who I am, I’ve had the most trouble with maintaining friendships. Either I refuse to be the person’s lapdog, refuse to change who I am to make others happy, not good enough for them, or just downright, don’t know what I did to them. Case in point… I have a friend who moved here to go to school a year ago. We hang out when she first comes, and I’m thinking cool, I have someone to hang out with and such. School begins, work happens, she gets a boyfriend, and we basically stop hanging out. Alright, that’s normal, but then she just kind of disappears. I leave messages on myspace, facebook, even text and no response but she’s logged into her accounts, talked to other people, etc, so I’m like you know what… fuck it. *deletes friend*

Sometimes I wonder if I’m really that big of a bitch. I mean, I know I’m a bitch and I speak my mind, but I have people around me who like me for who I am, why can’t those who claim to be my friends? What purpose is ignoring me going to do? What is hiding something from me going to do when I’m going to find out about it? Am I really THAT bad of a person? (more…)

End of the Road

I’ve done a lot of thinking since my meeting with my therapist / counselor Tuesday afternoon. She says that I have come a long way in the last few months since I began talking with her. I’m weeding out the negative influences in my life and getting rid of the people who have negative energy and things that bring me down.

To come down to it, and like I just told my boys at the radio station earlier, I think having friends is a bit overrated. Sure, there are people who you talk to all the time, who you can depend on, and you share a few things in common with. (more…)

What about your friends?

I think I’ve pretty much figured out over the past two days that my trusting people has seriously lowered more. I hate being kept in the dark about things more than anything and if people would just be honest with me and tell me stuff, then I wouldn’t blow up and get upset about things. I know people probably do it because they think it’s in my best interest and all but I hate it and that’s pretty much all I have to say about that.

My plans for this coming week is:

• Monday - Therapy, dropping by the office, seeing about possibly getting a press pass to take photos for the paper at the championship game in Alabama if I’m able to go. Call to set up dentist appointment for the first round of work.
• Tuesday - Go over to meet with the career counselor to go over my resume more and work on my cover letter. Start work on closing Track Bunnies and opening the new site. I’ve had the domain for a while, just didn’t know what to do with it until today.
• Wednesday - I’m having lunch with somebody and working on the site stuff some more.
• Thursday - Not sure.
• Friday - Going to Alabama maybe for the Championship game?

I know one of my grades so far… I made a B in Sociology and I brought that up from an a borderline F/D at midterm. How awesome is that? I really enjoyed that class in the long run.

Everybody goes a little Loco sometimes

I’m tired and just got home a few minutes ago. I went out to eat with the staff gang over at Loco’s which has the best burgers and fries ever. They started having trivia and stuff but we all have finals tomorrow. My final is at 10 am and then my paper is due between 12:30 and 2:30. I want to do my radio show tomorrow night but I don’t want to wait around until 6pm, so who knows, I might wait around or I might just come home. (more…)

I hate Copy Cats…

I hate copy cats. I really do. I try to be original in everything I do. I guess that’s what I get for being somewhat of a perfectionist and a creative person. I guess imitation is the best flattery but to me, when it’s someone that you just got tired of their shit, then it’s nothing to be flattered about. In fact, it pisses me off more. People need to get their own set of ideas. They need to get their own identity. (more…)
