I remember when I was little, I would write letters to Santa telling him what I wanted, what my cousins wanted and everything else under the sun. The only problem was… he never wrote back. Sure, he was busy but guess what? He writes back now! Letters From Santa offers customized letters from the big man himself to children with many different offers to make the letter specific to the needs of the sweet child that it’s going to!
So something told me to call the loan company today to see how my case was going and the lady told me that they were mailing out a check later today so that everything went through! This isn’t a loan with the school so this is to help me pay for Summer and to go to the dentist to get that all done. I’m going to go ahead and start paying the fees and stuff now while I’m still in school. However, I asked for a little extra in the amount so that my Mom and I won’t be stuck at home during Christmas. I want to go to Nashville or Charlotte for Christmas… and from the looks of it, it’ll be Charlotte. I’d rather go to Nashville but it’s too expensive to go. Hopefully it’ll snow up in North Carolina, and hopefully we do get to go. It’ll be nice not being stuck here, alone because honestly, we’re always alone on Christmas - ever since my Granny died and even thinking about going somewhere for Christmas is making me be in the Christmas spirit and I haven’t been in the Christmas spirit since she died. I used to love Christmas and now, like every other holiday, it’s just another day. I want it to be special.

Guess what? Christmas is just about here and everybody is probably still waiting to get the perfect gifts for their family, friends, wives, husbands, and children. Well guess what? So Thanksgiving…. honestly, to me it’s just another day when I don’t have class or work and I can sit on my ass and watch football or some television. This year is no different. I’m sitting here watching the Packers and the Lions game. My mom ran down to my aunts to get some turkey and dressing. She’s cooking me some lasagna since I’m not into Thanksgiving food. Call me the female Chandler Bing. I don’t like it… so I eat other stuff. (more…)
