1. Jeff Gordon $32 million
2. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. - $31 million
3. Jimmie Johnson - $23 million
4. Tony Stewart - $19 million
5. Kasey Kahne - $14 million
6. Juan Pablo Montoya - $11 million
7. Matt Kenseth - $11 million
8. Kevin Harvick - $11 million
9. Kyle Busch - $10 million
10. Denny Hamlin - $10 million

Cocktail dresses, tuxes, oh my!

Because ESPN Classic isn’t a part of my Comcast Cable System in Podunk, Ga (that’s not my town’s name by the way), I didn’t get to watch the awards live. In fact, I didn’t watch them until this morning as I lay in bed. I fell asleep before they came on last night due to Sports Center going overtime (40 minutes overtime?), so they were recorded for me on my lovely hard drive DV thingy.

Ford 400 Race Thoughts

Ford 400 Race Thoughts:

•  I hate seeing Ricky Rudd and Robby Reiser leaving. Granted, Robby isn’t leaving NASCAR, but still.
• I had NO idea Rick Hendrick was indited on fraud back in the 90’s.
• Tony needs a haircut. Period.
• I feel sorry for Dale, Jr.
• Martin Truex, Jr. deserves to win his race. He or Matt Kenseth. Watch a Hendrick car jump up there and win it.
• 15 laps to go.  The voo doo isn’t working.
• 14 laps… “Here, see if you can fix it now”. Oh Tony,  don’t get too pissy. A haircut will make you feel better.
• Chad Knaus is so fugly.  Steve Letarte on the other hand is kind of cute. Eh, I don’t really like either one.
• 10 laps left in the 2007 season…. hurry the hell up so 2008 can start!
• Truex so just got loose on that re-start.
• I feel like I’m in high school again for saying this… GO JEFF GORDON!
• Poor Tony is limping.  I’ll help him. *looks around*
• Wreck  him Martin! *looks around*
• Go Matt Go!
• God Jimmie Johnson sucks ass.

The drama that is Martinsville!

According to different audio clips played on Sirius last night and today, the race in Martinsville was REALLY controversial….

- Audio Clip: Kyle Busch was again told to back off - this time by Jimmie Johnson’s crew chief and spotter. Kyle said that he thought this was a race - he said that this makes two weeks now with the “Golden Boys”. Alan, his crew chief, had to give him the news.

- Kyle was told not to dump Dale Earnhardt, Jr and to be a team player (???). They told Kyle that he knew the plan and to not spin out Dale Jr. Kyle was not happy.

- Audio Clip: Jeff Gordon says that if Ryan Newman ever races him like that again - he’s gonna dump Ryan Newman.

- Audio Clip: Denny Hamlin tells his spotter to tell Dale Jr.’s spotter - he’s gonna hold it wide open and dump Dale Jr if Dale Jr. didn’t stop driving like he was.

And apparently there was rumored to be a fight on pit road between teammates Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth. Damn…Video? Well yes! (more…)
