It’s been a while since I wrote a “personal” post. The past week has been kind of weird for me, recovering from surgery, trying to work on my internship, and basically just being lazy. I went to the office once last week. I was supposed to go Friday but the file with all the text, which is the last thing I have to put into the planner, wouldn’t open and thankfully I tried to view it before I went to the office. I never heard anything else from them, so I have to wake up early tomorrow morning and head over there because I work in the Student Life office from 11 to 3 I believe. I also have to head back to the dentist at some point for a check up but I need to find out what time I have to go or when. (more…)

Tomorrow is the big day… my final surgery to help “make myself over,” so to speak. I have to be at the dentist at 8:30 in the morning. I’m nervous, but I’m also excited at the same time. Thankfully this time the surgery wasn’t postponed again and it’s finally going to happen.
This week has been pretty busy. I’ve been writing a lot on “Long Trip Alone” and been working furiously on my internship position with the school planner. It’s really coming along. When it’s all done, I’ll post a PDF page of what it looks like and stuff. I’m really excited about it. Thankfully now that I got really caught up, I can hopefully miss Monday and maybe Tuesday if I’m not feeling up to it. I’ve been at the office everyday from around noon until seven or eight at night. I like designing and it’s one of my favorite things about the stuff I do besides obviously the writing. (more…)

I totally forgot to post yesterday. Apparently my surgery is postponed until next week. My oral surgeon wanted to take Mother’s Day off (well the Friday anyway), so yeah, no surgery today. I’m just so ready to get all of this over with, you have no idea.
Other than that, life has been kind of…. interesting. I’ve been working on the planner for my little “internship” thingy, working in the Student Life office, and just being lazy. I wrote some on “Long Trip Alone” and I made some new icons. (more…)

I’m sitting up here at the newspaper office, working on the student planner for my internship this summer. I got my grades today and I passed Media Ethics! Yee-haw. LMAO. Yee-haw? wtf? I made one A, four B’s, and one C. *does the Hammer.
Now I must go back to designing the planner because I have to be at the doctor near Tallahassee at 7:30 in the morning. *yawn*

The end of the semester is finally here. Thank God! This has been the most stressful semester as a college student that I have ever experienced. I guess because I took on more responsibility, but still — stressful. I took my last final today, which was “Race, Class & Gender” and ended up going through upteen thousand newspapers because of some mistakes. Don’t ask, long story. I hate newspaper ink on the hands - ick! (more…)

So, I woke up this morning and went to Senior Seminar and came home…. and went to have surgery. The surgery went good, but I was high as a kite. They gave me an IV and I was under the laughing gas stuff and it felt so good. Right now, my mouth is really sore and I can’t chew anything. I have one more procedure to go and another dentist visit and I’m done. I’m getting that all done at the end of this month/beginning of next.
Last night, I ended up getting a virus on my desktop. I had to revert my hard drive back to factory settings and I’m still getting that all worked out.
Also, did anybody see the Today Show this morning? New Kids on the Block are back baby! All five of them - Donny, Jordan, Joey, Jonathon, and Danny. I’m SO hoping to go see them on their tour this summer.
I think the boybands are coming back. Take That. New Kids. Backstreet. Yes, baby, yes.

Hillary Clinton won Ohio and Rhode Island tonight. Right now she’s leading Texas after coming from behind, so I hope that she wins Texas. The whole delegate thing is just confusing for me, but I’m hoping she stands strong in this.

Finally tomorrow I have my first appointment with the oral surgeon. It was set for last Tuesday but at the last minute it was cancelled due to an emergency on the doctor’s part. Tomorrow is the day though. I’m hoping I can get it all done Friday so that I can recover over Spring Break. It would be the perfect way to do things, so hopefully I can. That would be almost two weeks to recover (the full week of spring break plus the two weekends). (more…)
