“It’s just an unfortunate thing that’s happened,” Robert John “Mutt” Lange told People Magazine of the news that he and his wife, Shania Twain, have split.
“It’s literally just a growing apart, that’s all.”
Now… what is going to happen to her recording career? Will Twain and Lange (that rhymes) still work together?
Rumor has it that Shania will be releasing a new album later this year.

New Kids on the Block performed on NBC’s Today show today, their first public performance in over fifteen years. The last time they performed together, gas cost $1.09 a gallon (in US dollars)!
The guys, consiting of Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight, Donnie Whalberg, Danny Wood, and Jonathon Knight, performed a medley of their old songs, their new single “Summertime,” and the second single from their “Step by Step” album, “Tonight,” dedicated to the fans.

Shania Twain and her husband, producer Robert “Mutt” Lange, have split, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
“Shania Twain and her husband, music producer Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange, are separating after 14 years of marriage,” spokesman Jason Owen says in a statement. “This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time.”
Twain, 42, and Lange, 59, married in 1993, just six months after meeting. They are parents to a 6-year-old son, Eja D’Angelo.
In 2002, Twain told PEOPLE of her and Lange’s relationship, “Our love has always been based on friendship and compatibility,” though, she added, “we are very different.” (more…)

Country group Little Big Town has left their previous independent record label, Equity Music Group, a press release today stated.
Less than 90 minutes later, Capitol Nashville released a statement announcing a multi-record deal with the group.
Capitol also now has acquisition of the group’s two Equity albums -The Road to Here (2005) and A Place to Land (2007).
