- Kevin Smith won his appeal to the MPAA for the NC-17 rating of his upcoming movie, “Zack and Miri Make a Porno.” It will now be Rated R and he didn’t have to cut much of the material. YAY!

- The Jonas Brothers were on Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show in LA this morning where Nick dodged questions about Selena Gomez with a “She’s an amazing girl and any guy would be lucky to date her.” When Nick wouldn’t actually answer it, Ryan moved on to Joe and his rumors about dating Taylor Swift. Joe’s response? “She’s an amazing girl and any guy would be lucky to date her.” LMAO! (more…)

Dover is not going good…

3 weeks ago: Kyle Busch (18) races past a crashing Elliott Sadler (19) and Tony Stewart (20) the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Dodge Challenger 500 at Darlington Raceway, South Carolina, May 10, 2008.

For the second time in less than a month, Elliott Sadler took Tony Stewart out of the race. The first time was Darlington and now… Dover. They should not be near one another on tracks that start with a ‘D.’

Also involved in the huge wreck: Clint Bowyer, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Bobby Labonte, Paul Menard, Kasey Kahne, Bill Elliott and Scott Riggs.

Menardisms - #1 - 50-year-old-man?!?

Apparently Paul really doesn’t like Tony Stewart. TGOM reports over at the AOL Fanhouse… I mean, come on, Paul is a decent driver or he would have never won that Busch race, but does anyone really think he’d have a spot at a team like DEI if it weren’t for his Dad’s sponsorship? Eh, regardless… Paul Menard says that Tony is a “50-year-old kid in a six-year-old’s body.”

Hm, okay, so does this not make much sense or is it just me? For several reasons…

1.  Tony’s not 50, nor does he look 50. He looks his age.
2. Tony’s body is much bigger than a six year old’s. Let’s face it… he’s got a junk in the hood (his stomach).
3. Shouldn’t it be the other way around, a six year old in a 50 year old’s body?

Guess Daddy Menard can’t buy smarts. At least we have a new side joke now called “Menardisms”.

No. 20 team unhappy with Menard after pit road crash

CONCORD, N.C. — Don’t expect the crew for the No. 20 Chevrolet driven by Tony Stewart to be sending any holiday invitations for Thanksgiving or Christmas to the crew for the No. 15 Chevy driven by rookie Paul Menard.

They might, however, send over a cold turkey stuffed with sour grapes — or something more foul.

Greg Zipadelli, crew chief for Stewart, was upset with Menard and his crew after a pit-road incident during Saturday night’s Bank of America 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The resulting damage pretty much ended any chance Stewart had of winning the race, although he did rally after falling back to finish a respectable seventh. (more…)

Menard’s father bought his ride?

From Tony Stewart last night on Tony Stewart Live:

Tony says normally he would keep his mouth shut, but Menard’s dad bought his ride, but he can’t by his talent. He’s got just enough to be in the way. Worst part was watching some of the 15’s crew applaud after the collision, and Tony has not much respect for that team anymore. Matt says championship teams show their talent when bad things happen, and the 20 team worked hard to get the car back in shape.
