Let’s just say, I’ve had too much on my plate.

My friend Rebecca told me today that I was close to being burned out. I’ve come to hate my normal job (not the newspaper, the other one) and want to be changed next semester to a new one unless….

I win this radio contest that I’m one of the 10 contestants for.

It’s to become a DJ on the radio station and have a weekend shift, which would be awesome for me. I am so busy with work, the newspaper, and just class projects that I have time for n-o-t-h-i-n-g.  I know I warned people that I may not update much but seriously - it’s been zilch… notta. NOTHING. I hate it. I love my gossip stuff. Hopefully if I win this job, it will all be better.

Have you tried HD radio?

There is nothing better than listing to some good country radio but do you know what’s better than regular radio? HD Digital radio! There are new HD radio stations with quality clear sound, almost as good as listening to a CD. There’s even this really cool thing called iTunes tagging where you can hear a song on the radio and if you like it, it will tag the song onto your iTunes playlist and you’ll be able to download it from iTunes whenever you get the chance.

Isn’t that pretty cool?

Something else that is cool is some new stations near me. Being that I live only about five miles from the Florida line, there are some good Florida High Definition Radio stations. There are stations in Jacksonville and in Daytona, which is just a good hop and a skip away from here and we all know we love listening to some good music. You can hear that good music on those new country music stations. So check out HD radio today… I know I will.

Our song was the slammin’ screen door…

The past few days have been a blur, especially with the dental nightmare. I just wanted to thank everybody for the comments. I really appreciate it. I’m trying to take the next step in the process but after that horror, it’s going to take me a few weeks I think. I’m still not over it. All I do is think about it and I start crying. I know that’s sad and probably sounds a bit childish, but dental work comes in second behind the little slithery things that start with an ’s’ that I can’t say the word outloud - but you can probably guess. Oh, and to make all of that better… guess who is going to meet Dierks Bentley? *points at self*….

Thankfully I have Monday off of school so that I can prepare for a few things that I need to do. I need to write up my opinion piece for the newspaper on the WGA strike and I do have a few things to say about that being a writer and a fan of television, so it’ll be interesting. I also have to do an assignment for Media Ethics about a documentary called “Death in Gaza.” Has anybody seen it? It kind of pulled at my heartstrings a little and yes, the cold bitch that I am cried in class while watching it. You should all check it out. Besides those things, I also have to study some for an Astronomy Quiz on Wednesday. (more…)

Two Stoners & Goldfish Crackers

Yes, that is the title of my script for my movie I’m shooting this weekend. I just finished it. I might stay and see Kerry on the radio for the very first time during Kevin’s show tonight but eh, I might just go home. I’m feeling creative. I might go design a new layout for Track Bunnies. I’ve been neglecting my baby.

Plus, I’m hungry as hell.
