So technically I’m supposed to be at a party right now. Yeah, didn’t go. I wanted to. I was begged to, but after coming home, I was completely worn out and tired so I just took a shower and tried to relax since

Where do I start off about this week? The rape article was published, much to some dismay. They were upset but we did everything legally right and changes already are being made on campus to how the rape statistics are being reported.

I thought my ass was going to be chewed out today at the Communication Board meeting, where I was interviewed for the Editor-in-Chief position, but I wasn’t. I did, however, get the job, so I’m the new Editor-in-Chief on my school’s newspaper. It’s kind of strange since I started out there almost three years ago with no intention of ever writing for the newspaper, much less being the head editor.

I also passed my Mass Media Senior Seminar exam. How I passed, I have no idea because I didn’t think I did that good. What got me is that a lot of people who always seem to act as if they know what they’re doing and are these “brilliant” people… didn’t pass. They have to retake it. I was like what the hell?

Sweet September

Did I mention that I’m obsessed with Josh Gracin’s new cd? I’ve had it since Thursday but it’s just absolutely amazing! It comes out Tuesday and yes, I will be buying a copy! I have it on my Zune, on my phone, and in my truck…. it’s the best CD ever.

As for other stuff, the Vagina Monologues happened last night and I’ll upload some of my pictures to Flickr later this week. I have a test in Media Ethics in the morning and I’ve been studying most of the afternoon when not laughing at pictures of Nick’s house in Franklin, Tennessee.

My NASCAR talk this weekend is that I’m slightly lusting after Tony again… I mean look at that pic over there. How can you not say that’s cute? He’s out there standing, watching Chrissy Wallace, who rocks by the way, race in her very first truck race and I hear that Tara the Tart is gone! I really wanted to take part in this NASCAR chat type thing that TGOM held today but after going in there and seeing a certain person there, I didn’t stay. Why the hell should I fell bad for going to something that I was invited to, you know? Pushed out once again.

Reality TV this weekend… I swore Dustin Diamond would show a better side of him this season of Celebrity Fit Club. Ha! Proved everybody right… he’s a douche. Rock of Love… Daisy used to talk to CeCe Deville… um yeah, sloppy seconds Bret? I don’t like Daisy at all. I don’t like Destiny and apparently Ambre lied about her age and she’s 37? He kicked off the only good one and that’s Jessica.  I mean, I really like Ambre and I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt until next weekend.

It’s a long week a head of me.

Monday - Ethics exam, write my editorial and start work on my Race, Class, and Gender paper.
Tuesday - Rough draft of my action scene is due - work on my  professor  iPod thing, CD review for Josh, and review of the Vagina Monologues.
Wednesday - Turn in my RC&G paper and paper night
Thursday - Nothing, shocking… but I need to start researching for my Ethics paper and for the Rape cover story I’m doing for the paper.
Friday - Go to my first two classes and then SURGERY!

Long Road to Run

It’s been a long way. I’m sitting here in the main building of the school waiting for my 11 a.m. class to start. I went to my 8 a.m. class and was there all of three minutes before being told to leave. I went and sat in the advertising office with Sarah for a little bit before going to my 9 a.m. class where I had to give a presentation and God, I hate talking in public more than anything. Now I’m just sitting here, wanting badly to go to sleep but I can’t because I have class at 11 a.m. I go to work at 12, and then I’m off at 2. Then I’m going home and going to sleep.

I know that I’ve been lagging in my blogging lately and school is really wearing me down. Plus, I’m really stressed with the surgery coming up, having to apply for Editor on the newspaper and the interview that comes with that, tests, projects, a big thing I’m doing for the paper and all kinds of stuff is stressing me out. My job situation is tressing me out because next month brings the end of my 4 year job and that means no more ping pong boys and less money so I have to find another job. Money is the root of all evil, I swear.

I’ll post more later tonight about stuff that’s been going on with BSB on Celebrity Apprentice and Tony getting his back waxed. Sadly, I enjoyed BSB more than Tony. Wheatgrass?!?! WTF?!?!
