Margaret (rivensky), one of the hillarious owners of LOLDrivers, and a Pretty Boy Jamie McMurray lover, sent this to me for my birthday. Thanks to everybody for all the wishes and a few goodies I got from people (I love you, Tara! Even if I am a bitch sometimes lol).
My birthday has been a normal day so far. I slept until 11:30 a.m. Woke up to about 15 emails with birthday wishes (even from Mr. Dierks Bentley - you know he loves him some Karah). I think I’m getting a bladder infection which hasn’t bugged me in a year and a half, so I’m due I supposed. Just hope it doesn’t lead to my gallbladder. It seems like everybody I know is getting them out lately, so many young people, it’s weird.
One thing that I finally did today is open up Track Bunny Magazine! It’s just an online magazine for female race fans and I’m looking for people to write, whether it’s news, or columns. (more…)

I’m sitting here at work and it’s almost 1 p.m. I’m tired and can’t stop yawning which makes no sense considering I went to bed hella early last night. I have class at 2:20 p.m. and then I think I’m heading home for the remainder of the day. I need to get some online work done. (more…)

I know I’ve mentioned on here before about loving to design things, such as websites, newspapers, and… fake magazine covers. Over this past Christmas break, I watched the E! True Hollywood Story of Hugh Hefner… the creator of Playboy and everything that is Playboy. He started it himself with the help of a few people and it has become a massive trademark in pop culture.
After watching that show, I decided that’s what my dream would be. By that point, I had decided that journalism and print media is what I wanted to do with my life and starting a magazine would be something that I could control. I even bought a domain name but with school and all of that, I didn’t have time for it.
Just recently, I was able to get my hands on a copy of Adobe InDesign, which most publishers are using now. We use Quark at the newspaper but InDesign isn’t that different from Quark.
So with that, and my boredom after I got home and waited to eat dinner… I leave you this. Click on the blurred photo for a .pdf version of something…. well, something that most people will think is stupid, but I think is funny and not bad considering I did it in fifteen minutes. It’s not a huge file, so don’t worry about that

I did something today that I wanted to do for a while, but finally got the chance to do. What you ask? I was able to buy my old domain name… the one that I originally had when “My Confession” was in it’s prime and the one that meant the most to me.
So go check it out @ http://my-confession.net and read “Long Trip Alone” while you’re there I updated it with Chapter 10 today.
Now I must go work on newspaper stuff for tomorrow

I haven’t written in here lately and I know why. Last week I was really busy with working at school in the Student Life office during school break and catching up on some other stuff. I also got back into Backstreet mode, opened up an old site (my first real site), and started writing on my first story in a while.
I’ve also been busy researching and writing on the Vagina Monologue piece for the paper this week which opened a whole other can of worms. My professor, who’s over the VM, gave me some information for the article and some stats about rape at school which are not from the campus PD. (more…)

One thing that I think is cool about the internet is being able to talk to other people via the internet. Sure, chatting is cool but do you know what’s better? Video conferencing! With a video conferencing bridge you can talk to others in high definition over broadband which is almost as good as face to face communication!

For those that don’t know, I basically got my online start by writing Backstreet Boys fan fiction. Well I stopped a few years ago and closed all that stuff down, except for a archive site where I hosted mine and lots of other fans hosted theirs there as well.
Well today, a piece of my history is back - My Confession is back online! I’ve redone McFanGirl.Org so that you can take your pick of NASCAR, My Confession, or Backstreet Fiction. If any of you want to read something on My Confession, read “The Trouble With Love.” I’m pretty proud of that story and it’s the last real Backstreet story that I wrote.
I work tomorrow from 11 to 5:30 p.m. in the Student Life office tomorrow. Whoo hoo!
