That’s right… I have finally opened Track Bunny Designs. I’m going to be getting a few more different style of layouts up, including one or two free ones! So for now, if you’re interested in me doing some web design work for you, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me. I won’t be expensive and I’m a perfectionist… so I try to do everything to the best of my ability.

Besides that… life has been kind of hectic lately. My cell phone was disconnected due to lack of funds. My father-sperm donor is a douche bag and I’m writing him a letter and telling him if he wants to “know what’s going on with me,” come to this website like the rest of the people in my life. (more…)

Didn’t I blow your mind this time, didn’t I?

This week has been a living hell, which is obviously why there hasn’t been many updates. I’ve rarely been online and when I am, I’m checking news and replying to e-mails.

So the move? Well we have everything moved and basically set up in the Student Life office. The phone in the lobby where I work and the internet isn’t working yet, but it should by the middle of next week. It’s nice. We have a big kitchen and a place to eat and it’s nice.

The newspaper, however, is a different story.

Our space was dropped by 25% of what we originally had. We had three offices - newsroom, advertising, and business. Now we simply have newsroom and business office. The room that originally was going to be the business office was basically chopped in half for a janitorial office. The office was too small to use as an office, which means Sarah, our advertising girl, will have to be in our newsroom with her advertising reps.

That makes things very crowded, which is the only part I don’t like. I don’t mind sharing the space with Sarah because she’s awesome, but it’s just the less space part.

Other than that, I’ve had class which *yawns*. That’s all I have to say about it. My first exam is on Tuesday which is the day that the building is opening to the public for a walk through and stuff, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to attend the opening or not, depending on the time. I plan on studying my ass off tomorrow and Sunday and Monday.

Besides that, I’ve started writing NASCAR news / editorials again and may be going to the Atlanta race in October with some exclusive passes so I can report on what’s going on. (Email me or comment if you want the URL… I don’t want to post it here because my full name is in it). That will be a big help to my budding little-non-existent career, but Journo over at NASCAR Insiders gave me some pretty good advice and I’m going to use it. It’s hard to be a fan and a journalist at the same time, which is why I’ve been trying to move away from my whole “fandom” thing lately. I want to be taken seriously in the sports journalism world, like Lee Spencer, Jenna Fryer, Nate Ryan and David Poole, four people I really look up to, even though two are around my age I think. Eh, I couldn’t help I found my calling ten years after I graduate high school… or nine years I guess, since I realized I wanted to be a journalist last year LMAO! I still think it’s hillarious I started at the newspaper as the webmaster with no real interest in journalism and now I’m Editor-in-Chief and want to do this for the rest of my life.

Weird, isn’t it?

More updates later.. I’m going to go work on an article and head to bed after the Truck Race. GO CHRISSY!

“Suck it up and Go for it”

Yes, apparently that is what on the hood of Tony Stewart’s test car today in Pocono, according to Miss Amy from Amy’s Bad Groove. How awesome is that? So awesome in fact, I’m jealous of Tony and his paint scheme.

Today was an, eh, day I guess you could say. I gave the final draft of the planner for them to look over, went and napped for four hours on a sofa, went to work and packed up things in the student life office, went and ate at Pizza Hut with my Mom and then came home. I’m tired. I’m going tomorrow to talk to my counselor, which should be interesting, since I haven’t been to the counseling center since that rape article came back, so… tickle me nervous. They might all glare at me in there. (more…)

Just like old times….

I did something today that I wanted to do for a while, but finally got the chance to do. What you ask? I was able to buy my old domain name… the one that I originally had when “My Confession” was in it’s prime and the one that meant the most to me.

Sweet September

Did I mention that I’m obsessed with Josh Gracin’s new cd? I’ve had it since Thursday but it’s just absolutely amazing! It comes out Tuesday and yes, I will be buying a copy! I have it on my Zune, on my phone, and in my truck…. it’s the best CD ever.

As for other stuff, the Vagina Monologues happened last night and I’ll upload some of my pictures to Flickr later this week. I have a test in Media Ethics in the morning and I’ve been studying most of the afternoon when not laughing at pictures of Nick’s house in Franklin, Tennessee.

My NASCAR talk this weekend is that I’m slightly lusting after Tony again… I mean look at that pic over there. How can you not say that’s cute? He’s out there standing, watching Chrissy Wallace, who rocks by the way, race in her very first truck race and I hear that Tara the Tart is gone! I really wanted to take part in this NASCAR chat type thing that TGOM held today but after going in there and seeing a certain person there, I didn’t stay. Why the hell should I fell bad for going to something that I was invited to, you know? Pushed out once again.

Reality TV this weekend… I swore Dustin Diamond would show a better side of him this season of Celebrity Fit Club. Ha! Proved everybody right… he’s a douche. Rock of Love… Daisy used to talk to CeCe Deville… um yeah, sloppy seconds Bret? I don’t like Daisy at all. I don’t like Destiny and apparently Ambre lied about her age and she’s 37? He kicked off the only good one and that’s Jessica.  I mean, I really like Ambre and I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt until next weekend.

It’s a long week a head of me.

Monday - Ethics exam, write my editorial and start work on my Race, Class, and Gender paper.
Tuesday - Rough draft of my action scene is due - work on my  professor  iPod thing, CD review for Josh, and review of the Vagina Monologues.
Wednesday - Turn in my RC&G paper and paper night
Thursday - Nothing, shocking… but I need to start researching for my Ethics paper and for the Rape cover story I’m doing for the paper.
Friday - Go to my first two classes and then SURGERY!

Chasing Your Dreams

It’s the end of the semester and graduation is almost upon us. Seniors will be walking up the stairs, on the podium and receiving their degrees. Other seniors will be sitting to the side, biting their nails knowing that it will be them soon enough – stepping off of the stage and into the real world.

Yeah, that was me last semester.

After a small freak out and deciding to wait until summer to graduate, I felt okay with it. The closer that summer came, another freak out happened and now I am finally graduating in December and I seem okay with that. Yeah, I “seem” okay with that. (more…)

Self Publishing?

Ever since I began writing, I’ve wanted to get something of mine published. I don’t mean in the journalistic sense but fictional. Then I thought about it… why deal with all the hassles of agents and publicists when you can do your own Self Publishing with a company like Author House? I think I’m going to be looking into it.

Anything but mine…

I haven’t written in here lately and I know why. Last week I was really busy with working at school in the Student Life office during school break and catching up on some other stuff. I also got back into Backstreet mode, opened up an old site (my first real site), and started writing on my first story in a while.

I’ve also been busy researching and writing on the Vagina Monologue piece for the paper this week which opened a whole other can of worms. My professor, who’s over the VM, gave me some information for the article and some stats about rape at school which are not from the campus PD. (more…)
